If the Clips are dominating the boards in this way I don't think the Suns have a chance...impressive performance...

My mistake. He's been out most of the year and I was still under the impression he was still questionable. He didn't play in the only game of that series I saw and he only saw 1.7 mpg of action so I guess I just overlooked him in the boxes.

Well once again the Suns lack of height shows, this time though, it kicks them in the crotch.

This is why we shouldnt of had Amare return before the playoffs :evil:

Anyways, the main thing we need to address before next game is obviously rebounding. If Marion shows up wearing his heart on his shoulder, we should be good. I think we handle Brand the way we did Kobe, and allow him to go to work, but shut out the rest of the Clips. As i havent seen any of the series yet (ESPN :evil:

) im not exactly sure how good that would work, because the Clips are a far better built team than LAL...

Colin, thoughts? How do you think we should approach Game 3?

The Suns can't possibly win without improving on rebounds. Brian Grant as always been a good defender, and as we know, D'Antoni is always one to double team. They can at least keep him in check this way. His size also is beneficial, even if he isn't as mobile as he was before he would help to alleviate that 31 rebound differencial.

Really, do they have many other options? They're double teaming now as it is and its not working. It's not possible to win and get out rebounded by 31... they cant shoot 100% from 3pt.

First of all, I refuse to use 'we' in this context. The Suns are 'them' until I have a job with the team.

They just have to get a body on their man. Most of the time they just float around and end up going up right beside a guy who's got 4-5 inches on them. If they at least make an attempt to box out and get a body on anyone else on the Clippers they'll give themselves a shot. And they'll probably end up getting a few over the backs called on the Clippers that way too.

Other than that they'd be fine. Clippers don't score nearly that much without all the offensive rebounds. And when the Suns can rgab a clean rebound they outlet it VERY quickly. So if they get the boards under wraps, the Clippers score less and they have more opportunities to score.

Whats wrong with referring to them as 'we'? If you barrack for a team, its great to call them as 'we'.

^No, people in North America use it all the time and it bugs the hell out of me. They're not on the team and have no influence on the actual game, yet somehow it's 'we'? I just think it's a case of people thinking they're more important than they are.

I disagree. I use my time to watch the games, I give the team $$$ when I buy tickets, I give the team $$$ when I buy a jersey, and I'm always supporting my team. The fans are just as big a part of the team as the players

How about most three-pointer made in a playoff game without missing? Radmanovic has made 5 threes, and missed none. He has singlehandedly brought them back into the game.

Great win for Phoenix. Them being able to win a grind it out, low scoring game says a lot. Huge shot by Steve Nash, Matrix was brilliant. What a great series we have on our hands.

Phew, close game!

What a HUGE game for Marion! Hopefully this will continue. If he played this way all series against the Lakers, it would've been done in 4.

I don't know what the heck the Suns did, but the rebounding was great.

Not a good shooting game by Nash, but he made the one that counted the most.

Overall, not the Suns' best game, but an awesome way to bounce back from the pitiful game 2.

75% of the time the game 3 winner in a series tied 1-1 has won the series (stat stolen from Sportscenter). I'd like to see history repeat itself

Our shooting was terrible but we rebounded the ball well, so that's a good sign. Brand also started coming back down to earth so that's another good sign as well.

It might be your pet peeve, but what you said is pretty dumb. Without the fans, a team is nothing. Saying they have no influence is just stupid. Maybe you think people arent as important as they really are?

It's not great it's retarded. None of us are part of the team in any way, shape or form. We might be fans, but "We" in that case should only be used to refer to the fans. If you were playing on a basketball team and some random idiot came upto you and said "yeah we had a really great win, but we need to improve our outside shooting" you'd be going "wtf, who are you?".

Maybe they have a little influence if they're actually at the game. But even then it's "we helped them win by getting behind them and making noise." The only time I can see it making a little bit of sense is if your school/university team wins something. Because you are all part of the school. It's still silly though.

Great win for the Suns. They found a way to control the rebounds, basically worked out exactly how I wanted it to. And Marion came up freakin' huge. Sig-worthy for sure.
