Detroit just keeps on rolling, and while they face the knicks in New York,
it doesn't look likely their streak will be stopped before the Allstarbreak.
The Knicks will look to use their depth, especially in the backcourt,
to tire out the Detroit guards and swingmen, look for the game to be won in the backcourt.

Boxscores: [Pistons]|[Knicks]

Tayshuan Prince had his second great scoring night in a row,
hitting 63% of this shots and both his 3 point attemps the Knicks couldnt find an answer.
While the Pistons won the game, it didnt come as easy as past games,
having to work hard for their 5 point victory the Pistons will be beginning to wonder
how they can demolish a team like the Heat then have trouble beating the Knicks.

The Knicks made the most of the home crowd and held Detroit to only 12 points in the first quarter.
The Pistons managed to find their focus in the 2nd, but still were trailing by 3 heading into the half.
The Halftime talk must have inspired the Pistons as they came out firing and turned the 3 point deficit
into a 10 point lead going into the third, it looked like they had it wrapped up,
but a fired up Jamal Crawford would not let them have it so easy, scoring 12 of his 20 in the 4th.
The Knicks out scored the Pistons 27-22 in the 4th, even taking the lead at times,
however the Pistons managed to pull away with free throws in the last few minutes.

Prince knocked down 23 also pulling down 10 rebounds to go with 3 steals.
Chauncy Billups had 17 points and 7 assists, but was harrased all night resulting in 7 TO's
Jamal Crawford had 20 points on 8-13 shooting, with 12 big points in the 4th.
Eddy Curry made a good push for an All Star selection, with 15 points and 14 boards on 70% shooting.

Starbury played some great pressure D on Billups || Billups with the great lob to Ben Wallace to silence the crowd

The Detroit role players got some good minutes, here Dyess with the Flop and Hunter hitting the fadeaway.

Richardson shooting one of his FT's he had a great shooting night || Crawford trying to free up some space for a jumper.

I wrote on Page 5 wrote:You will get to select a player for each position that you think will make the All Star Line-up, for each one you guess correctly you will get 3 points, if you guess the all right for a conference you get a bonus 7 points, and if you guess both conferences right (good luck ) you get another bonus 10 points on top of that.

I thought id add that if you pick a player, but they dont make the starters but instead get on the bench, then you get 1 point, if all your players you pick for a conference make the team in some way (starter or bench) then you get a bonus 4 points, and if all the players you pick make the teams in some way you get a bonus
4 points. Teams will be announced soon (Y).

This years Slam Dunk selections are a lot different than previous years.
For one thing is seems they have decided to go with a 6'8" + contest.
Ben Wallace is a supprise selection to the delight of Pistons Fans, expect to see a lot of power dunks from him
and Amare Stoudemire. Tracy McGrady is returning to the contest to try win it this time, having failed in previous year.
Jonathon Bender asked to be selected so he could have a go before his knee issues get too bad to be able to participate.
Look for a dunk contest that may not be as flashy but deffinately still be entertaining.
