McGRADY AND ROCKETS REVENGED ON MAVS

Toyota Center, Houston
Series tied 1-1

Image

Tracy McGrady did his job in the 4th quarter and brought the victory to Houston Rockets.
He had 30 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists tonight sinking Mavericks with great dunks.
The game was changeable, Rockets took the lead in the first quarter by 10 points.
But in the 2nd quarter Mavericks managed to close the game and were leading.
The second half was thrilling with good offense and great dunks by both teams.
There was tied 101 : 101, but then McGrady hit some jump shots and increased the lead to 4.
Mavericks weren't able to close the game and lost it 105 : 110.
This game was good by Nowitzki in scoring, he had 34 points, Howard added 21 points.
Need also to mention that Mavericks bench played well, but were not enough for the victory.
Now teams will fly to Houston to play deciding game, and the winner will face with Spurs.
Spurs along with Suns, Cavaliers and Nets advanced to the conference semifinals.
They all are waiting their opponents. In other pairs series are 1-1.
Suns crushed Blazers by 70 points and will play next against Grizzlies or Nuggets.
Nuggets managed to tie the series and teams will play deciding game in Denver.
Cavaliers won against Hawks and face Pacers or Bulls, which tied the series.
Surprisingly New Jersey Nets won against Philadelfia 76ers again and proceeded next.
Their opponents will be Bobcats or Pistons, in which Bobcats revenged on Pistons.

Nowitzki can block in real life, in the NBA they always say his D isnt that good, cuz he isnt so hard and stuff .....

but you should see the Euro Championship or qualification, he is a top defender, always blocks and steals many time !

LOL @ Van Gundy

Yes Nowitzki is underrated defender, I think. In previous European Championship he was great, both at offence and defense. I wished Germany win the title, but Greece was better that night..

The team played very well in the second half, running from the 7 points deficit to 11 points lead.

Nice presentation, and nice game by Dirk.... I think you deserved it with two clear wins.

What would be cool, if you could post the player stats of the teams that are left, would love to see who controls Charlottes offense :)

ROOKIES 105 : 107 SOPHOMORES

STATS

Josh Smith was anounced as the player of the game with all-around performance.

Here is the start of All-Star Weekend in Houston. As all participants were introduced before, so the first match was between Rookies and Sophomores, who accepted the challenge from them.

Rookies were unable to win this game, but only 1 shot from Chris Paul determined that rookies lost the game between sophomores team with Josh Smith, former dunk champiom, which was anounced as the Player of the game with 13 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists, 2 blocks and 2 steals. Smith was demonstrating solid game for such age
The team leader at points was Smush Parker with 22 points, who was the surprise not only at this match, but also for each season, playing for Lakers and averaging almost 14 points in a game. Team leader in points at rookies was Channing Frye with 22 points, which is not demostrating such stats in New York, but was participated as the best rookie center. Also, Chris Paul had good game with 15 points and 11 assists, most of them to Frye which dominated against Krstic.

Sophomores were leading almost all game, but when there was left about 3 minutes, the real fight began, the score was tied about 8 times till the and of the game, and very important shot was made by Dwight Howard, which had whole 10 points, at the remaining of 2.3 seconds. Them Chris Paul shot a 3 pointer, but not succesfuly, so Sophomores celebrated a victory over Rookies 107 : 105.

Need to mention J.R.Smith and Chris Duhon from the sophomores team, too. They had 21 and 19 points. Also 2 first picks of 2004 year draft Howard and Okafor both scored 10 points. From the rookies team need to mention the 2nd pick of this year draft Marvin Williams with 17 points, 3rd pick Deron Williams with 14 points, while the first pick of this year draft Andrew Bogut scored 12 points and had 6 rebounds.

MAVERICKS GO VICTORIOUS AT AT&T CENTER

AT&T Center, San Antonio
Mavericks lead 1-0

Image

Dallas Mavericks have shocked San Antonio Spurs at the first round game yet, as they won 103 : 96.
They won very important victory away, and will have chance to end this series at home after several days.
The combat started with good defence for both teams, but later they started to play more offence.
And Mavericks increased their lead to 14 points at the 2nd quarter, as Spurs had nothing to do.
The 3rd quarter was also successful for the Mavs. They held the lead with great game by Howard.
He scored 28 points tonight, had also 2 rebs, 4 assists and 3 steals and was anounced as the POG.
Dirk Nowitzki scored one point more, also rebounded 7 balls, blocked 2 shots and had 2 assists.
Spurs were trying to close the lead in the 4th quarter with Tim Duncan, who did his job perfectly.
27 points, 14 rebounds from him, also 2 assists, 3 blocks and 2 steals, but it was not enough.
Other Spurs were playing not so well: Parker with 19 points, Ginobili with 15 points and 6 assists.
Spurs were looking angry after the game and they promised the revenge in the next game.
Next game will be at American Airlines Center, where Mavs will try to go very important step to the finals.
One year before, Dallas also won first win against Spurs in the conference semifinals, but then lost next two.
If Mavericks managed to win against Spurs again, they would play against Suns or Grizzlies next.
In this series Suns won and now lead the series 1-0. They are trying to defend their title.
At the East Cleveland got first semifinal victory against Pacers, and now fill fly to Indiana to end the series.
In other match Charlotte still continuing perfect trip at the playoffs. Now they won against Nets.
Below team scores you can find all the stats by the team, to look who is leading to the victories.
