Was Lebron Clutch or was it bribe protection?

I like how everyone complains because they didnt call a travel on a play that ended the game. Why should they call a travel at the end of that game when they havent been calling that same travel or game, or better yet, all season. If that same play would have happened, say, in the middle of the second quarter, it would be a non issue. He would have traveled just as bad, but nobody would give a shit. We cant expect rules to be turned on and off throughout a game. but, imo, yes he did travel, and yes he is a great player, and I would say he is pretty damn clutch for 21. He has a long way to go, but i would probably crap in my pants if I was in his situation.

I disagree there. They actually have been cracking down on that hop-step play all year and they have called it many times on him before. He did the hop fine but it was a blatant slide/step afterward, I cant tell you many instances where I would say I saw the refs not call that a walk.

Travel....game's over, time to move on. (although that call could have called the Wiz the series)

www.nba.com , go check out the scores of previous games, and click on highlights. They give both a pressbox view, and a view from above, althouh a Wiz does lunge for the ball, he doesn't knock it out of Lebron's hands, clearly showing a travel.

If you are referring to that particular game, then he's not clutch, he would been called for a turnover( or two) in clutch time. But overall he has improved that part of his game.

Calls like that can really mar a game but the call has been made and the game is over. Furthermore the Wizards have tied up the series so there's still a chance for retribution. At this point it's spilt milk and we all know what we're not supposed to do over that.

Baldus does bring up an interesting point though. The situation will exaggerate even the slightest hint of a non-call/bad call and affect everyone's perception of the play. Using some historical examples, MJ's push off in the 1998 Finals is the subject of scorn, but Reggie Miller's push off for a game winning shot in the Conference Finals that same year doesn't receive the same scrutiny. And his performance in 1994 saw some questionable contact with Greg Anthony but that isn't mentioned much either. Had the Pacers won either of those series or indeed the championship those years perhaps more would be said about the non-calls.

The winner of the next game will definitly win this series. The cavs should come out on a mission on their home court.
