8points, 7 turnovers, 5 fouls, 4 rebounds

That's shaq statline.
Expect 30+ from shaq in game 4

Good win by the Bulls tonoight. (Y)
Though not probable, I really wish they could pull and upset.

Awesome, at the very least they've avoided a sweep. So far they haven't embarrassed themselves which in itself is an achievement considering how fortunate they are to be in the postseason and the various deficiencies of the team. Looks like I'll have to backorder this one.

James Posey is officially my enemy...and a dumbass. Dude push my boy, Hinrich. If I was there, I would throw a bear bottle at him, just to see if he would pull an "Artest" on me.

lol screw this thinking.

The Bulls definitely belong in the playoffs- they played their best in the last stretch of the regular season and have played Miami very tough. i'm pretty pissed because i think they could very well be up 3-0.

even if they are the big underdogs here, i expect the Bulls to win this series. i'm not dropping over a $100 to see each game at the UC with this " i hope they don't embarrass themselves" thinking. the bulls kool aid is flowing indeed but you can't have this attitude

heh i think we had this discussion before

Sun Apr 30, 2006 7:57 pm

Hey, I reserve the right to be cautiously optimistic. :P

I don't dispute that they belong in the playoffs. Whoever qualifies in the top eight has earned that spot, no questions asked. Call me a non-believer if you like but while I agree Chicago has a chance to win I'm not surprised that the Heat won the first two (though I really thought the Bulls were on the way to stealing Game 1 when they grabbed the lead in the fourth).

I'd like nothing better than to see them to get the upset but if it's not going to happen, I'd like to see them at least make it difficult for the Heat.

Comcast reports that Chandler's injury is a mild to moderate ankle sprain. he's day to day

it's quite satisfying as a Bulls fan to see the veteran laded team, the Miami Heat, as the ones that are frustrated- throwing mouthguards, getting ejected, arguing amongst themselves, etc

Miami had a lot of things go against them in Game 4 but they still had a chance to win. IMO it looked like the Heat were actually playing better when the Fatman was out with foul trouble

it's now a best of 3 with the momentum in Chicago's favor. Only one days rest (yay!) between games.

making it difficult and not embarassing themselves are 2 different things ;)

Andrew- believe, damnit, believe!

The 7th seeds are giving lots of trouble  (Y)

I didn't realize that until you brought it up.

Here's another ironic thing: Kobe is on the rise while Shaq is getting old.

Mon May 01, 2006 10:26 am

wow, Chicago is not laying down and THEY believe they can win which is great. This series might get pushed to 7, hopefully ESPN Australia show another of this series.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't believe. Foolish superstition prevents me from shouting it from the rooftops.

I've only seen SC highlights so I don't have much in-depth analysis or feelings for the game apart from "Awesome, they won". That said...glad to hear Chandler's injury has been described as mild because as far as ankle injuries go it looked quite nasty (then again don't they all?), amazing pass by Gordon after that steal and what a dagger from Hinrich!

I too find it interesting to see how the Heat are bickering and getting flustered, though they do have a couple of more problematic personalities on the roster this year.

Not really, given Shaq's entering his mid 30s and not as healthy these days while Kobe is injury free and in his prime.

Doesnt that support his statement in some way?

Mon May 01, 2006 8:44 pm

Not really. He's suggesting the situation is ironic, whereas I don't agree that the situation displays "incongruity between what might be expected and what actually occurs" and thus is not an example of irony. It's to be expected the player closer to retirement will be on the way down and the younger player in his prime will be on his way up or holding steady and that's what's happened with Shaq and Kobe.

All I can say great win for the Bulls.Miami did't step there game up and the Bulls are taking advantage of this.I can see this series is going to be till game 7.I'm really angry, because I didn't see a diffrence in Heat's game.I sure hope Riley does something to motivate the players.

Mon May 01, 2006 11:44 pm

Heat looked like high school kids arguing in the 2nd quarter :shake:

Tue May 02, 2006 7:26 am

from a Chandler interivew i heard on a local sports radio update- Chandler may not be available for tuesday's game. he wore a boot in practice today and mentioned for a type of injury like this, it took a few days for him to feel "good"

Tue May 02, 2006 6:43 pm

Bad news, but if he can't go, he can't go. Hopefully he can return for Game 6 and if necessary Game 7.

Caught the highlights, that has to be in the running for one of the top ten assists in the Countdown this year.

Thu May 04, 2006 12:13 pm
