Miami Heat Playoff thread - 2007

Postby Axel on Tue Apr 25, 2006 12:49 pm

Well, I got kind of tired of reading all the other team's threads, and really didn't want to post in the Bulls thread since it's enemy territory.

Anyway, this is just a place for fans (i might be the only one that i know of) to post reactions/thoughts/comments about their playoff run.

Today was a good game, the Bulls gave 'em a scare, but I think when they need to turn it on they can handle them fairly easy. Just hoping they don't pull a 04 Lakers deal where they wait till the last minute and can't pull it out :?

Miami is barely beating the Bulls so far. They'll have a tougher time with NJN

I also happen to worship the Heat. Along with the nets, really their my only favourite team. Good game today, although struggled to keep the lead. Walker and JWill played fine, as a result Shaq and Wade wern't relied on as much. How about that sweet ally from Wade to Shaq, gotta love it. I dont know what im gonna do when the Heat face off with the Nets (assuming NJ knock off indiana). Aslong as either of them can knock of Troit i will be a happy camper.

In a few years , maybe , but the East belongs to Detroit.

Wade is sick though , he stole the inbounds with 1.5 left and dunked it. Crazy!

They're now tied. That's gonna be a good one. :)

As for the Heat series, I hope the Heat will play well for 48 minutes instead of getting a big lead and letting it evaporate. A good start is as important as a good finish.

that flagrant by James Posey on Kirk Hinrich was totally uncalled for, he just shoved Hinrich him with his shoulder on a fast break.

It doesn't warrant a suspension. If it does this truly is the pussy league. :x I put hits twice as hard as that on my brother everday. :|

If you're going to suspend a player for throwing a mouthpiece or a non-flagrant foul. You have to, HAVE TO, suspend a player for a Flagrant Two.

If it's according to the rules, fine, but the act itself doesnt deserve a suspension.

It's a case by case basis, not a comparison between previous calls.

Case by case invites hypocracy. This guy will be suspended and rightly so. I don't know what the hell he was thinking..but hopefully it wakes up Miami.

Yeah it really looked intentional to me. He just ran into Hinrich and shouldered him.

I don't like how the Heat behaved in the closing minutes. A Flagrant foul and whining to the refs will never bring them back to the game.

Still, I hope they wake up for Game 4.

There are actually standards and procedures when it comes to suspensions so if the action and the resulting penalty call for it then a suspension isn't inappropriate it. Anyway, I've yet to see it so I won't comment on it any further until I do.

I agree. That was ridiculous. I'm a crazy Heat fan, but after that game, I'm disgusted. I can't root for them anymore this year. The only reason I'll continue watching is to see how Wade does.

Right. Okay. Are you actually going to contend a cheap shot in the post and throwing a mouthpiece is worse than blatantly and intentionally attempting to defy physics and merge your shoulder with Kirk Hinrich's upper body? Especially when you got tossed immediately for the latter.

You have to be consistant in your rulings. You can't suspend some guys for being stupid and not others for Flagrant Two's.

Suspension is needed....there was absolutely NO INTENT to play the ball. He shouldered the guy, didn't even bother to even stick out an arm and pretend he was going for the ball. This kind of play could have hurt Hinrich....any time a player commits an intentional foul of this nature he needs to be suspended.

Good win by Bulls....hopefully they rack up another in Game 4.

no way.....but if they got knocked out early i wouldn't complain. As you can see, Heat don't look that threatening in this series.

If there's any team that can REALLY push Detroit it's probably Indiana.

Chicago would be giving Detroit just as many problems as they are giving Miami.
