The Miami Heat defeated The San Antonio Spurs to win the 2006 NBA Championship.

Image

In the final game it all came down to the winning shot. Shaquille O'Neal got the ball inside and slammed it down on Duncan with .4 seconds left. The Spurs didn't get a miracle as Ginobili jacked up a horrible 3 pointer and lost the game.

It's good that Miami won the title, not San Antonio.

Good luck in the off-season

NEW YORK - Today the offseason officially begins with the Draft Lottery. 14 teams that didn't make the playoffs during the season had a chance at # 1 pick. Milwaukee, Portland, Boston, Orlando, Washington, New York, New Orleans, Utah, Seattle, Atlanta, Sacramento, Minnesota, Los Angeles Lakers and Chicago(First teams had the worst records in the league, so Milwaukee had the worst record and Chicago had the best record with a biggest chance of making the playoffs). All of the GM's attended the Lottery. Milwaukee got the first pick, since they had the best chance to get it with 250 chances out of 1000. Washington got the 2nd place and Orlando received the 3rd. "Well, how lucky can you be" - said Milwaukee GM Larry Harris - "We got another 1st round pick".

Some of the Lottery Surprises include Washington, Sacramento, and LA Lakers. "We had a very bad season, and maybe with a fresh face, and a 2nd pick will help us' - said Washington GM. Cleveland Cavaliers had the best record this season and received the last pick in the Draft. Here are the results of the Draft standings:
