EXCELLENT ROAD TRIP BRINGS DALLAS 4 WINS

CLIPPERS(3-9) || LIVINGSTON'S EFFORT NOT ENOUGH FOR THE WIN

January 7, 2007
Staples Center, Los Angeles

Image

Dallas Mavericks won against struggling Clippers, and it was their 11th win in this season.
Mavs were leading all the time. In the first quarter - by 10 points, but at the start of the 4th - only by 1 point.
But they played well in the last quarter and celebrated the victory.
Nowitzki had 23 points, Harris 17 points and 4 assists. Bench player played also well combining 34 points.
From the Clips need to mention Shaun Livingston with 20 points and 8 assists.
Corey Maggette added 14 points and Elton Brand 13 points.

MAGIC(3-11) || HARD FIGHT VS THE WORST TEAM OF THE LEAGUE

January 9, 2007
TD Waterhouse Center, Orlando

Image

After the game vs Clippers, Mavs flied to Orlando to play against the worst team in the league Orlando Magic.
It was a hard game, Magic were trailing all the game, but were also closing the lead all the time.
The last minutes was very thrilling, but Magic didn't take their chance, and Nowitzki made the final jumper shot for the victory.
He was anounced as the player of the game with 25 points, 5 rebounds and 2 blocks.
Howard added 19 points, Chandler 14, Daniels and Harris combined for 10 points, also were great assisting the ball.
Daniels made 6 of them, while Harris 8 assists and 5 steals. Stack had 12 from the bench.
From the Magic nothing really to mention, as none of the team didn't have more than 15 points.
Nelson with 15 points, Howard, Hill and Dooling combined for 13 points.
Seems that Orlando is really struggling and need some big changes.
The rumor that Orlando Magic organization is interested in Mavericks GM for the next year job.

76ers(9-4) || IVERSON WAS STOPPED AT THE LAST QUARTER

January 11, 2007
Wachovia Center, Philadelfia

Image

Dallas Mavericks have won another game in this road trip, now against Philadelfia.
All the game was close, as the biggest lead was only 6 points by Dallas.
Allen Iverson had a good game, but he was stopped at the last quarter, and Philly became to struggle at the offense.
The game winner was obvious at the last minute of the game, so 76ers closed the score a bit.
Iverson had 17 points in 3 quarters, but only 2 points in the last one. He also made 11 assists.
Andre Iguodala has team high 22 points, and Samuel Dalambert was great on defence - 11 rebs and 3 blocks.
Tyson Chandler was unstoppable in this game, having 19 points, 10 boards, 2 steals and 3 blocks.
Nowitzki added 22 points, and Howard 15. Dallas's guards had a lot of assists in this game, too.

PISTONS(8-11) || NO BEN WALLACE - NO PROBLEMS

January 20, 2007
Auburn Hill Palace, Detroit

Image

Seems that is going harder and harder to stop Dallas Mavericks, Pistons weren't able to do that too.
This season for Pistons is not so successful as previous 3 seasons, as they lost Ben Wallace in the off-season.
So Dallas didn't have any major problems until the middle of 4th quarter, when Pistons took the lead to 6 points.
But then Mavs started to play more concentrated and had a 10 : 0 run, which was the main reason for the victory.
Marquis Daniels was the best player tonight with 14 points, 3 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 steals.
Nothing really needs to mention, but the whole team with perfect team play.
From the Pistons Chauncey Billups was the main fighter with 25 points and 4 assists.
Now Mavericks will return to home to play against Toronto Raptors. They are having 8-10 record at the moment.

Thanks. The scores maybe realistic, but I think I should play longer quarters and adjust my sliders, and I don't know what to do

VICTORY AFTER GOOD DEFENCE

January 21, 2007
American Airlines Center, Dallas

Image

Dallas Mavericks demonstrated the perfect defence in this game and it was no problem beating Raptors.
Mavericks were leading at the 2nd quarter by 23 points yet and the winner was obvious.
Dirk Nowitzki was the high point man for the Mavs, scoring 27 tonight and adding 10 rebounds.
Marquis Daniels has also shown great game with 19 points and 3 assists. Howard and Harris combined for 10 points.
From the Raptors Chris Bosh was only real fighter at the both sides with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 blocks.
Other Raptors were passive and very unsuccessful on offense, probably the good defence by Mavs.
Next game for the Mavericks against Atlanta Hawks at American Airlines Center.

TYSON CHANDLER INJURED

Image

After the game against Toronto Raptors, Tyson Chanler felt some pain in his elbow.
The trainer of the team diagnosed that he sustained a sprained elbow.
He will be unplayable about 5 days, so will miss one match against Atlanta Hawks.

Marquis: Thank you so much for being quick on the responses and of course submitting yet another pstat!(of course, don't forget to submit your end of the year pstats) By the time that happens, you should see some additional dynasty personalizations on my site beyond the Birdie stats so stay tune for that! Thanks again, Marquis!

Sooo took a look in here after some time and hey your road trip was so cool.
4-0 really strong.
And Detroit with Kelvin Cato in their starting 5,
Bad that Tyson got injured, but hey Ratliff needs some playing time, his contract is way too big for sitting on the bench staring around ;)

keep it going, I like it !!

I don't understand what all the 'birdie' ratings are n stuff :?

Either way, your dynasty rocks like always :D Sux about Tyson getting hurt but it's always nice to see how bench players can fill the void.

keepnitgangsta1, Thanks man. Winning is cool

HonorGlow, thanks again for counting these stats, I was pretty sure that Nowitzki will become team MVP, but Chandler is some kind of surprise here. These penalties are bad, scoring too many points is a problem for me, because i'm still have troubles with sliders.
Sure, I will send you end of the year stats, and I wonder what I will see as additional dynasty personalizations on your site :)

hova-, yeah thx hova, road trip was really strong, I didn't expect that I will win all the games. Chandler is injured only for 5 days, so he will be playable soon

Shing, Thanks, yeah it's always interesting to see how bench players can replace injured starters.
You can visit HonorGlow's website to know more about all that birdie ratings

HARRIS'S WINNING FREE THROWS BRING 8TH CONSECUTIVE VICTORY

January 25, 2007
American Airlines Center, Dallas

Image

Devin Harris didn't miss last free throws at 5.5 seconds left till the end of the game and Mavericks celebrated their 16th win this season.
Hawks even had a chance, but the last shot by Johnson was missed. Atlanta was leading all the game and Mavs were really struggling at offense.
Later they found their rythm of the game with good game by Dirk Nowitzki 34 points, 4 rebounds and 4 three pointer made of 8.
Nothing really worth to be mentioned with the good game else, because the team played very terrible at the first half.
Dallas Coach Avery Johnson was angry of that type of play, because Mavs are heading to one purpose - NBA Champions.
The high-point man for Atanta was Tyron Lue with 24 points. Al Harrington also had good game with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Dallas Coach was only happy with one thing, that Hawks leader Johnson was stopped, only with 14 points and terrible shooting percentage.
Next game for the Mavericks against New Orlean Hornets at American Airlines Center. Hornets are having 8-13 record at the moment.

With all the cap room the Hawks had, they didnt even make a good move in the off-season. Good game winner from Devin Harris though.
