Last summer he had most of the summer off, and played in the Olympics qualifiers. That was the most rest he's every had.

I think the toe surgery he had and that 2 months rest really helped him. It was told in the chronicle that all he does while hes on the hospital is to watch film and see all of his mistakes during games. Maybe that injury was really a blessing..

It was blessing in disguise. Unfortunately, it also ruined the Rockets season.

it may have ruined their season but at least they know that they can play with that level of intensity and can build on that next season

the knicks however.....

38 points 11 rebounds 3 assists 2 blocks in 39 minutes against a win over Washington.

Miracle in the making? Nah, probably not. Houston will most likely end in the 9th or 10th spot and have a mid 1st round pick. At this point, I really don't care that they're winning themselves into a low draft pick because this draft is so unpredictable that picks #6-#15 are pretty much a toss-up. It's not even going to matter. It's good to see Yao dominating and proving that he can win games by himself. No to tanking!

Wow.. another huge game from Yao... It's good to see that he's not giving up even if the team won't make the playoffs! (Y) Thats called spirit!

If Yao doesn't win player of the month I will be pissed off.

27.6 ppg 11 rpg 1.8 apg 2.1 bpg in 38 mpg (!) on 53% shooting and 88.5% free-throw shooting. They better not use that "His team wasn't winning" bullshit. They didn't do THAT bad: they went 7-8. Yao played without T-Mac for most of that time and the second best player on the team during that time was Stromile Swift  .

Slightly off topic and I misplaced the link to the forums, but I still wanted to share:

Yao is injured 8 minutes into the game against Utah.
Great year for the high-flying Rockets. (Y)

I found it "ha" funny not "HAHA" funny though.

On-topic:
Jerry West did it right again by letting go of Stro earlier in the season. The way Swift plays he's making Kwame look like Ben Wallace.
