Thats simply amazing. 48 points coming from a rookie is definitely impressive and within the flow of the offence as well.

I think he really stepped it up with Bosh having to leave the game with an injury. Still impressive nonetheless.

Yeah, that guy is a surprise. People thought he was a shitty pick out of the draft, I mean, don't get me wrong, but I thought it was horrible.

But he's stepped up big.

Yeah! Go Charlie, he's one of the few Raptors that I like. (Along with Bonner and Mo Pete)

Mon Mar 27, 2006 9:44 am

Wow, 48 that is worth a clap :applaud:

Hate 'em.

He's got a silky smooth jumpshot. And a nice crossover.

Mon Mar 27, 2006 9:55 am

I stand by what I said.

Great stuff by Charlie, although I heard Toni Kukoc was guarding him for the majority of the game.. Kukoc is completely washed up, he has 1 decent game per season and can barely move. I'm surprised he didn't go for 60 over him.

And then procedes to dismantle your offence by freezing up the other 4 teamates on the floor while chucking up pull-up threes and dribbling away the shot clock. But other than that, he's fine.

Mon Mar 27, 2006 11:10 am

mike james is a fucking tool. i've always hated the guy. you haven't seen a guy dribble so much until you see him play. there's been two or three games this year where you can attribute a raptors loss entirely on him.

Mon Mar 27, 2006 11:11 am

I don't watch him. Lol, just when I see him play against the Celtics he always does good (and that's the only time I see him play, other than highlights)

Mon Mar 27, 2006 11:14 am

Word.
Sick game (y)
Props to Charlie

HA! to all those who said 'he shouldn't have gone 8th' or 'he can't play with Bosh'. This guy is for real, one of the few good moves Babcock made. :D

Heh... It's funny because this game Bosh got hurt and had to leave the game. So he did this without Bosh. AAfter something like this, he probably should of gone even higher. Of course he won't be able to do this again, well, for a while atleast. But hopefully this motivates him a bit more, and he starts putting up some killer numbers to end the season, and he might even challenge Chris Paul for the ROTY. Might challenge him for ROTY. I doubt it, but you never know.

'he can't play with Bosh'

Bosh only played like 7 minutes, so that's still up in the air :P

whats the most scored points by a rookie?

Mon Mar 27, 2006 12:25 pm

I actually like Charlie V when he was down at UConn. Glad to see the offensive outburst which was very enexpected I might add. Crazy how agressive he must have been but he only got 3 free throws. Oh well, great game. (Y)

Mon Mar 27, 2006 12:35 pm

I hear Charlie V has no eyebrows.

Mon Mar 27, 2006 12:39 pm

^^ He has no hair on his body at all. It's some kind of disease.

I debated putting that 'he can't play with Bosh' or not, but it's not just this game that Charlie's done well. He's had 25+ point games with Bosh in the line-up. Maybe not tonight, but they've shown that they can play together.

Mon Mar 27, 2006 12:43 pm

villanueva's disease is Alopecia Areata

Mon Mar 27, 2006 12:53 pm

Yeah, I think that's it. I was watching some program on Raptors TV and it showed Charlie with a bunch of kids with the same disease. Apparently, everywhere they play someone organizes a bunch of those kids to meet him. He's a really cool guy. (Y)
