I hate how everyone makes such a big deal about how he'll make one or two topics about Pierce... oh wait... this one isn't even about him. It's about various players and their difficulty to guard. IMO, it's easy to guard anyone. Now, to stop them, or even slow them down, now that's another story.

From what I've heard and seen I'd say it's pretty close between Pierce, Iverson and Kobe. But I'll have to say Iverson after thinking about it a bit more.

What? Anthony is 6'8!! How the hell can he be a guard? He always plays SF and sometimes PF!

On Topic: Kobe

So... ?

What does Anthony not being a guard have to do with anything? The thread didn't specify 'guards' it was just player.

Edit: Changed a capital H to a lower h.

Thank you captain obvious.

Kobe, Pierce and Rip and Shaq are hard to guard IMO

Don't gotta be all bitchy, prick.
The title is to cover it up fool. You said Paul Pierce because you're on his dick and you made this topic because you wanted everyone to know Lebron said that and AK cried.

And why do 'unstoppable' players have to be great scorers? Steve Nash hard to stop, he racks up around or over 10 assists every night and is hard to stop on a fast break even though he doesn't always score it himself.

..I honestly think you don't deserve the right to speak, because of saying that completely false fact.

Off topic (in bold): Oh sweet, sweet irony...

On topic: It depends. Kobe Bryant is probably the hardest guard to shut down when he's on his night, but when he isn't, regardless of the defense, he'll kind of run himself into the ground. As for big men, it's Shaquille O'Neal. Who can stop him? He's too big, and too strong to guard. He'll go through you rather than around you.

Carmelo is 6'7 with shoes and Lebron 6'8. So Lebron is taller and overally bigger, but his natural position is still SG, although he plays SF and sometimes PG (point-forward, actually).

Even though I voted AI in this poll, I really think there is no answer. The only way to find out is to play each one of these guys one on one, lose 500-0, and then find out which player was the hardest to guard.

o I would have my own list then
1. Shaq ( pwn every center when healthy, you can only foul him, and this can also hurt yourself.)
2. Amare ( You dont want to get dunked on everytime he got the ball, and gd when off the ball too.)
3. Rip ( the defender wont be any near him when the ball is already passed to him.)
4. Kobe ( Most developed offensive game...can score in whatever ways in 1-on-1, or even 1-on-5 game.)
5. KG ( All about mismatch--he's so big yet he has a guard-like outside game.)
6. AI ( Ankle-breakers and lightning speed.)
7. Tony Parker( Maybe the quickest player in the league right now.)
8. Dirk ( Quick for a big man, and cant miss from outside when he's hot.)
9. Lebron ( Incredible strength for a ballhandler, both of which can be used to get past the D.)
10. Wade ( Relatively strong for a under-sized shooting guard, very very athletic.)
