yeah I'm really looking forward to that 75,000 post milestone thread, where you shoutout Jesus and anyone else in existance who hasn't been shouted-out.
you mean I forgot to shout Jesus a

in my 2500 milestone post

now I'm in trouble

could be worse though, I could've shouted out the whole of NZ like we do when we receives awards for LOTR
Jugs. wrote:how quickly you forget that I was one of the first with that half-assed recap approach
I just wanted to be cool

start a trend
Meh, I've even stole your shoutouts idea (2500,5000,10000 etc)
don't worry Jugs, most things that most people do (me included) are not completely original....but that doesn't mean you can't take something that has been done before & do it better or do it differently which makes it unique & good in it's own way
that's my life lesson for you today
EDIT: it appears I reached the 1000, 10000, 4000 club (1000 dynasty posts, 10000 dynasty views, 4000 NLSC posts)
Tue Mar 21, 2006 4:24 pm
Who else has that, incidentally? And it's fitting that you got your 1,000 post in your dynasty. Too bad you couldn't have had your 4000th post on the 1000th post of your dynasty.

I knew I was close & I could have if I really wanted to, but that would've been like Ricky Davis deliberately throwing the ball off his own backboard to try & get a triple double, wouldn't it?
as for who else has it, Mafia is the only other NLSC-er in the club....I'm in elite company

BLAZERS MONTHLY RECAP - NOVEMBER 2006
The Portland Trailblazers started the 2006/07 season with a 2-3 record for the month of November. Overall, it was a solid start, but like the season before, it could have been a lot better had they not let a close games at home against the San Antonio Spurs slip away.
The month showed some good & some bad points to this year's Blazers. First off, Zach Randolph seems to be going from strength-to-strength as he is putting up great numbers (27.4ppg, 9.6rpg) to start the season. Sebastian Telfair (15.2ppg, 5.6apg) has also started the season strongly as he looks to move his performance to the next level, in this, his 3rd season as a pro. Newcomer David Lee has been a great addition as every moment he is on the floor, you just know he's going to do something to help his team, whether it's rebounds, defense, diving for loose balls or finishing with a nice jam, he's fitting in well. On the flipside, Travis Outlaw has once again started the season cold & is losing minutes to guards Martell Webster & Andrew "The X" Watson. Trade rumbling has already started in relation to Outlaw, who is in a contract year.
The Blazers will look to improve on this month in December as they fight to stay in touch of the playoff contenders. To do it, they'll need a converted effort. Coach McMillan is reportedly implementing a couple of new defensive schemes to mix it up. They will likely be the 3-2 (with SF on top to use Miles' or Outlaw's length & athleticism) & the Box & 1, as well as a variety of trapping & pressing defenses.

KEY INJURIES
Jason Kidd & the NJ Nets just can't catch a break. Last May, he was injured for the Conference Finals & subsequently got swept out of the playoffs by the eventual NBA Champs, the Detroit Pistons. Now Jason Kidd is once again on the IR as he will miss at least 2 months of action with a torn achilles tendon. This ain't 'Troy' & Jason is not 'Achilles' but it sure feels like it for the Nets. Let's hope for a quick & healthy recovery by Kidd.

okay guys, as you will come to see in the coming month or so, Martell Webster is slowly pushing for the starting SG spot, which has been quicker than I expected, but the team plays better with him starting....
the problem lies with which player to keep, Morris Peterson or Travis Outlaw....both are in the final year of their contracts & both have their positives & negatives....IMHO, Mo Peterson would make a better 6th man than Outlaw, but Mo is 30 & Outlaw is only 24....one of these players MUST be dealt, so I don't lose them for nothing at the end of the season....
any prospective deal involving them individually or collectively can include the likes of Steve Blake, Jarrett Jack, Sergia Monia, Theo Ratliff & even Ha....I would also be willing to part with Miles if the deal is right & I'm giving a few good players with upside for an upgrade at SF, like a Carmelo or something....deal could bring in the likes of a Battier & Miller, or a Caron Butler or a someone....
a deal will be made before the trade deadline in February....please put your thinking caps on & see if you can come up with any plausible trades for me to consider

nah, don't have time for game-by-game recap....
as I said in an earlier post, my monthly recaps will have the basics....then every 2nd month (or trimesterly), I will have extras like NLSC-er of the Trimester, Rookie Watch, Stat Line of the Trimester, Play of the Trimester, Player Card of the Trimester & Game of the Trimester

obviously no one has any comments or suggestions on a possible trade in the near future?!?
Tue Mar 21, 2006 10:16 pm
Deal Ratliff away if your going with the youth movement.
Keep Outlaw he becomes great.

I'll post more if i can think of some.
Tue Mar 21, 2006 10:18 pm
Keep Travis Outlaw if he's really developing, if he isnt, keep Morris Peterson.
Try and trade Outlaw + Steve Blake for a Center of some sort, thats only if Outlaw is failing to develop

it would be hard to deal Theo away....I like what he brings to the team with his board work, athleticism & most specifically, his shot-blocking ability....I know I can re-sign him cheaply once his contract is up....but his contract is the problem, he's way overpaid....to deal him, I'd have to deal someone else....

you are brilliant Jugs....I didn't even check out his development but I went back & had a look at Outlaw's development....
Oct '05 - 74 overall rating
Oct '06 - 68 overall rating
Peterson's rating has held steady at 73 since I got him....
over the same time as Outlaw, Darius Miles moved from a 76 to a 79....
whilst I'm not a true believer in the total value of judging by a player's overall rating, I have noticed Outlaw's performance has dipped this season....I now know what I have to do now....I know you like him Jugs, but I think even you'd be hardpressed to keep him with that sort of development
Tue Mar 21, 2006 10:36 pm
Hey X... hows Mo Pete working out for you? I'm looking into some possible trades for ya!
Tue Mar 21, 2006 10:36 pm
Ah that's not a good sign, you're right that you shouldnt judge a player by his overall, but you've noticed his performance has dropped. If he's starting to fail, you've still got Webster, Telfair, Randolph and Miles developing plus you've got other youngins so I think its good to let him go, I give you permission
