did you need to make a thread about Damon Jones hitting one three? I know he won the game but I don't think that means hes back.

Omg, that game was AMAZING! I was there and the crowd was so in to it and then when he nailed the shot, we just shook our heads! OMG! Amazing game for LeBron as well!

Ye that was gay.
He was WIDE open.
Damn Mike James ... LBJ lured him in the paint.
This always happens to Toronto somehow.

i thought everyone was excited when he came to clevelend? didn't ya'll know he's a terrible defender, can't dribble under pressure, can't create for himself or anyone else and is an overrated 3 point shooter? perhaps not.

well when he was on the heat, he sure looked good, he didn't need to really dribble the ball as PG, nor play much def cuz they had wade, jones, haslem, and shaq.. all he had to do was dump it into shaq or to wade.. 1 big target, 1 lightning quick target... + he was really hitting 3's like theres no tommororw , i remember DJ was avging like 15+ppg shooting over 50% in the playoffs until they played the pistons

Yeah, he fit in perfectly in Miami because they had Wade & Shaq....but really, even on that team he should have been a bench player.

Too bad Cleveland overpaid him and gave him a long contract. They still need a PG...every PG on their team is a bench player.

I was more impressed with lebron..that was a clutch magic johnson type play. How many superstars other than lebron would've passed that ball instead of taking a wild shot? KOBE?..HELL NO...your favourite player? Hell no....LeBron's the man.

Paul Pierce would if he had Wally or Delonte on the court.

As evidenced by his gaming winning shot over multiple defenders? sure. Has he ever made a game winning clutch pass? Not to my knowledge.

My point, Delonte wasn't on the court (he's injured) and Wally was backing this dude down in the post.

edit: and yeah dude, that's one time. It's not like a superstar like him is NEVER gonna showcase his talent.

My question is...has Paul Peirce ever made a clutch game winning pass? If not...then you have no point really. I'd like anyone to evidence to me one time where another superstar has made a clutch pass in recent history.

My response is... LeBron passed it because he's not clutch at all. His fg % with 30 seconds or less is 25%

And he's tried to win the game himself SEVERAL times. This time he decided to pass.

your response has nothing to do with my question..so basically you have no point. Thank you for proving my point.

I'll agree that lebron isn't a clutch shooter but the fact that he passed and didnt force it..and took advantage of his passing ability shows merit. Who says being clutch only meant making the shot yourself?

Why did you bring up Paul Pierce? Are you going to do this in every thread? Will this become like the Chuck Norris thing?

"Yao should've taken that rebound"
"Paul Pierce would've taken it"

lebron isn't a clutch shooter

Well, he is kind of clutch..KIND OF...Remember the time Cavs were at Chicago last year and LeBron launched the three to make it to OT and got it in...It was even in Chicago and that was where MJ had most of his clutch moments.

Gotta love the rabid fans...they equate everything to their favourite player. Stats wise..i wouldnt even consider paul peirce a superstar anymore. His scoring, passing etc isnt all that special this season..and the celtics have a crappy record. He's an all-star..not a superstar.

I can't think of one that's too recent, but a historical one does come to mind. ;)

i believe that Shaq passed up on a 3 pointer in the NBA finals so Kobe could get (& make) a 3 in Game 2. :P
