Charley Rosen....isn't he that guy who picked out a bad game from Bogut against the Pistons (of all teams), and used that to be negative on him....

seems like he's probably doing the exact the same thing for Darko (N) why choose a shithouse game, why not choose a string of 3 or 4 games and give a rundown of them, not just one bad game, as he did for Bogut....anyone in the league can look bad on a bad night

Yeah, it probably was the Darko's worst game since coming to Orlando.

He's also done it for the whole Knicks team minus Stevie/Starbury. And Wade and James I think were featured in nother!

They're not exactly random. Darko has had a string of good games, it's not like he had to "wait" for him to have a good one... more that he was waiting for him to have a bad one. Same goes for Bogut, he was playing well up until that Pistons game. I think he's doing it deliberately.

^^^ exactly, he uses a single performance to support the opinions that he has....I think a lot of people do that, heck, I probably do it at times....but it's not exactly fair....if he likes a player, he might be choosing one of their better games....I know in my social basketball league, one game I might have played the equivalent of Oscar Robertson meets Reggie Miller but another I've played like Darko did the other night....if he watches me on the good night, then I look like a 'star' player, whereas on the other night, I look like a complete scrub....

Didn't he also do a feature on the top players at each position all-time and made a complete mess of it with inconsistent criteria that was off the mark to begin with?

to me it seems as if he waits a while for a team/player to get accustomed and then choses a particular game to report on.

anyways, i like his analysis, he doesn;t sugarcoat anything like ESPN does all the time.

Darko finished with 11pts 2blks 3 rebounds in 17mins

Also racked up 5 pf which is why his mins were so few in the second half. He had 10pts at half time.

Not a bad game i supose

i doubt it. There's a reason he wasn't traded after his first season unlike previous lotto failures Rodney White & Mateen Cleaves.

Anyways, Milicic finaslly displayed that mid range shot of his.....hitting 4-5 J's from 12-20ft away.

Woohoo! Finnaly showing what he can from the midrange! Now, stop fouling, grab some rebounds and become a starter.

He did play against Troy Murphy.

Charley Rosen's mailbag:
If you were a GM of an NBA team and someone held a gun to your head and forced you to choose between taking either Darko Milicic or Kwame Brown, who would you pick and why? — Garrett

Both of these guys have NBA skills, and both are spectacularly immature. Neither was remotely prepared to play in the NBA at the onset of their careers. If both players have quick feet, Milicic has better hands and has the considerable advantage of being left-handed. Brown plays like he could be a force in the middle only once every three games. Milicic plays hard only when the stars are properly aligned.

Given that making such a decision is artificial in that it would theoretically depend on the other players already on the mythical team under my control, I would pick Brown. Why? Because he was stung to the quick by Michael Jordan's public criticisms of his game/attitude in Washington, psychological damage that, in time, can be overcome. Brown also seems more willing to share the ball. Besides, young, talented centers are much harder to find that non-centers. And, finally, Brown's power trumps Darko's cream-puff finesse.

. I hate his guts.

lol Kwame over Darko

Darko can still add bulk and grow into a better center than Kwame. He's already an amazing shotblocker. Plus he has all the other aspects to his game like range on his jumper, passing and just general basketball intelligence. Kwame looks more lost out on the court. Darko is tougher too.

Laker fans say that they would take Kwame over Darko anytime, simply because of his 'incredible' post D. He did a good job on injured Duncan, and now he's better than a potential franchise player, because he can defend? I got news for you - Darko's body is still developing, he's longer, already a much better help defender and WAY more advanced offensively.
