Nuggets do 1996 Bulls a favour

Postby Andrew on Thu Mar 02, 2006 3:00 pm

The Pistons have finally dropped their tenth game, meaning the best they can do this year is tie the 72-10 mark set by the 1995/1996 Chicago Bulls, with Denver being the team to nab that honour.

That said, what a remarkable feat for any team in any era to only have 10 losses at this point of the year. They might not break or tie any records this year but the Pistons should be finishing with a franchise-best record and there's no question about their dominance this year or the strong push they're making towards another Finals appearance and quite possibly their second title in the last three years.

It is a remarkable feat but I think this is more impressive.. the records of the Top three teams:

Pistons: 47-10
Dallas: 45-11
Spurs: 44-12

I just think it's very good how all three team are going.

With Dallas being top team in the west I think that some think that Spurs are not as good this season, but its not true. Spurs are playing their best game in quite some years. I am very impressed with theses teaams. What I am more impressed with though is tonights Nuggets game, amaizing.
Kmart his 2 3s  that beast. Ruben has been playing well too, I think when Nuggets get Eddie back they will have a very strong bench.

You must have been itching to post this for some time, eh?

Well, I wouldn't want history to be tarnished, either.

Kinda makes you understand why ex-Dolphins players always pop the necessary champagne whenever an NFL goes undefeated in the regular season beyond the 10th game and then drops one, or, even worse, why Yankees fans nearly killed their own right fielder, Roger Maris, when he, along the great Mickey Mantle, was shooting for Babe Ruth's single season home run record...

Deep down inside, we are all historical purists.

Records are made to be broken, and are only special becuase they can be achieved.

I just think it's very good how all three team are going.

 I'd love to see you write an essay.

True. But a 10 year-old record is one thing. An 80 year old record is a whole new ballgame. Not that basketball has any of those, but still...

I heard about that, the former Dolphins' tradition. Snopes.com debunks it though.

Well I was about to admit to being an obsessed Bulls fan but historical purist does sound better.

Why? You're the World's only work-from-home lawyer that seemingly has enough time to post mass amounts on an internet forum dedicated to a game played predominantly by teenagers.

Excuse me if I'm not overly confident in your knowledge of law.

Racist AND lame. Impressive.

Please, compared to your "jokes" mine look like a re run of faulty towers. But seriously, going by the defitions of the words, how can it be "lame" and "impressive" at the same time? Its an oxymoron.

You DO know what that means in Chinese, no?

It means the same in Chinese as Sit means to humanity.

You obviously do not hold this forum in high regard, then.

How can you even say that from the quoted part of his post?

See, you actually used your brain for a change and picked up my point. Now make a habit out of it.

Another useless post. You remind of a puppy who chases its tail around in circles for attention.
See, you actually used your brain for a change and picked up my point. Now make a habit out of it.

Such a shame you cant follow you're own advice when you say:
Maybe non-teenagers who play Live can post here as well?

But then, maybe we should "And leave the laws to me."? I wouldn't leave a corner to you. You would probably try to argue with it, telling the bricks that they arent held together by morter. Then you would take a photo of yourself in speedos, in a vague attempt to get "props", followed by trying to show off your awesome wikipedia and encarta ( ) knowledge off to that corner. Wait.. doesnt this all sound familiar? Replace the corner with Sit.. :proud:.
