Garnett To Lakers?

Postby MiAmI2005HeAt on Fri Feb 24, 2006 1:59 pm

As the Trade deadline comes to an end the lakers fail to make a move. But Lakers owner Jerry Buss contacted the Minnasota Timberwolves for KG.Garnett was asked to meet with team owners at the end of the season. This will decide whether he'll go or not.In my personal opinion i think this will never go down because i think that LA dose not have enough to offer. :!:

Another rumor? This is the 10th rumor I've heard in the past two days. Give me a break.

Garnett won't be traded.

I remember back when Shaq was traded I was bracing myself for Kobe to leave town also. I was actually excited for a sec but now I realize I would rather him in Lakerland.

Kobe will stay in LA forever, It would be good move for KG to Lakers, he got better chances to grab the ring with LA, he is just falling down with that Timberwolves.

Personally, I think KG is going nowhere unless he demands a trade. And in case MIN does not want to trade him then he might even pull that Vince Carter did once in Toronto :D

NY would be good for him he'd be playing with Franchise.... I see them working well together.... As well as the other players.

I think that KG is going to demand a trade in the offseason

These rumors come up every year. It was reported that when Buss contacted Wolves owner Glenn Taylor, Taylor said KG is a wolf until he doesn't want to be one. And from what I know he wnats to be one

Garnett's smart. I've always wondered why people had this facisination for playing with New York. Sure its a great city and yadda yadda, but financially their a mess and they're apparently driving their coach nuts and vice versa.

I don't know if it's the team, I just don't think Garnett likes the city.

If not Marbury to Minnesota, how about Garnett to Manhattan?

"I'm not New York, man," he said, walking to the team bus. "I'm a Timberwolf at heart, man. But to have Steph back in 'Sota, that would be some crazy. That would be hot. That would revive the city."

I don't see how KG -> Lakers is possible since Kobe cannot be traded due to his contract. They could package the rest of the team and it still isn't worth a fraction of KG, and any future draft picks won't be worth much since Kobe + KG = 30th pick.

They had 2 assets, Caron & that pick, and they bet it all on Kwame + Bynum, so that's their future.

I think the most interesting and possible scenario is all-the-knicks-you-want scenario realGM has as their cover story today. With Curry, Frye, Nate, Francis, Crawford & Marbury there's enough there for Minny to start rebuilding. It also makes sense why Zeke got so many redundant players who play the same position & style, like Francis. He plans on losing a lot of his roster soon.

With Curry, Frye, Nate, Francis, Crawford & Marbury- look on these names, really, NY should have 55 wins in season but somehow they are poor team, i dunno mates, but look on those names again, i think NY doesnt need any new player, they need new coach!

I don't think they need a new coach they need better attitudes and there lineup aint the best you can get... But they should be winning alot more then they are.
