I think that was #2 on the top ten blocks of 97/98. Vlade blocking Kobe was in that same top ten.

Well he did it 1631 times in the regular season, 165 times in the playoffs and even twice in the All-Star game. But since flopping isn't a recorded statistic, we can only assume that column would be much, much higher.

That's overachieving for a guy who couldn't jump to save his life. Props to him.

I'm not going to check the video, but is it good old David Vaughn?!? I know he was the Magic's 1st Round pick back in like 96 or somewhere around that time....went No. 20 or something....he panned out as well as Mario Bennett, but ahh well....

The very same David Vaughn, end of the first round '95 to the Orlando Magic.

Number 20 that year was Jason Caffey to Chicago. Number 21 was Michael Finley to Phoenix. I remember that quite distinctly.

you would....Bulls pass on Chicago (& Wisconsin alum) boy Fins who immediately becomes a star in Phoenix for Caffey  and the Bulls spend most of the next decade trying to trade for Fins

that's right, Vaughn must have been around No. 28 or something....

What use would they have for Finley? They already had a 2 and 3.

i've never seen MJ get blocked while he was in chicago.. actually, clyde drexler got him (weakside swat). the only people i've seen get him clean, by playing him man to man are kemp, artest, payton, marion, and bryant -- with the last two in the 2003 all star game.

on the topic of MJ, what this guy did when he was 40 was frickin amazing.

seeing him torch these guys when he was past his prime makes you wonder what he would do to these cats if he was still in his late 20's - early 30's..

Damn i thought this was a video of Jordan's "block" when he was on the Wizards where he went up with 2 hands and just snatched a guy's layup out of the air and started dribbling back the other way with it.

That was one of the sickest moves i've ever seen.

What use did the Pistons have for Darko? Obviously, history shows it still worked out fine for the Bulls but it's an interesting what-if, having Finley waiting in the wings to shine in the post-championship era.
