I heard on the pre-game show that Arenas is supposed to be replacing Jermaine O'Neal in the starting five as well as simply being named as an injury replacement. That's going to make for a very small lineup.

Predictions: Kobe and T-Mac engage in a scoring battle reminiscent of Michael Jordan and Dominique Wilkins in 1988. I'm picking the East to win in a close contest with LeBron taking home MVP honours. Four Pistons + Fifth Guy is going to be interesting to see.

that is the best prediction i saw but lebron might decline the mvp like he does everything

Nice, they opened with "Thus spake Zarathrusta" in the player intros. I forgot Ron Harper was an assistant in Detroit...kind of funny, seeing as he was a perennial snub for a while during his playing days.

Guess I was wrong about Gilbert Arenas. That's what you get for watching ESPN's portion of the pre-game show. ;)
