Nets, Knicks Trade

GM's two cents:

We feel that this trade will benefit the Nets both now and in the long run. Channing Frye is a fantastic young rookie who is capable of great things. Qyntel Woods was just used to get the trade legal, his contract expires at the end of the year, if he doesnt perform to our expectations he will be dumped. Nenad Krstic was too slow and not skilled enough for our new style of play and i really never liked Scott Padgett, couldn't sink a three if his life depended on it :)

I like your first two trades but I think your lineup seems..errr..more generic with Channing Frye, even though he's undoubtably a better player. Sometimes teams need their tall skinny white guys, lol.

Nice dynasty you got going here. I was thinking maybe a K-Mart reunion instead of Jermaine O'neal, but, JO is better, so good trade.

Yeah try downsize the pics, like the last trade too, but your bench is pretty weak.

So what school in Auckland did/do you go to??

Miami Heat V New Jersey Nets

Heat: 89
Nets: 113

POG: Jermaine O'Neal

Many people were awaiting the showdown of O'Neal v O'Neal, and they were not dissapointed. Both players notched 20+ points, 10+ rebounds and 3+ blocks. But it was in the back two nets starters that prooved the difference. Richard Jefferson and Vince Carter had a field day scoring over the perimeter defenders Posey and Wade. RJ and VC combined for 49 points. Jermaine O'Neal finished with Player Of The Game with 22 points, 11 rebounds and 3 blocks (all shaq). Dwayne Wade top scored for the Heat with 24 points.

Nets Dynasty (4-1)

Postby nets4life on Tue Feb 21, 2006 8:16 pm

Utah Jazz V New Jersey Nets

Jazz: 93
Nets: 88

POG: Andrei Kirilenko

Nets looked for their 5th straight of the season win at home against the Jazz. But the boys from Utah pulled off a upset win and stunned the New Jersey crowd. On paper this Utah team is not even in the same picture as the Nets but they put together a solid game at stopped the league leaders. AK47 led the way with a Player Of The Game performance (17 points, 10 rebounds, 4 steals and 3 blocks). Richard Jefferson (26 points, 10 rebounds) led the game in points followed closley by teammate Vince Carter (24 points). Jermaine O'Neal continued his good form with a double double (14 points, 13 rebounds). "Im very dissapointed in the loss, i fealt the boys played nowhere near to their standards and showed no defensive teamwork down the final stretch. But hey, you cant expect to win them all." Lawerence Frank, HC of the Nets.

Ohhh u got me.....But Wade had much more competition in his Rookie year. And Wade never wanted to be in the dunk contest. Carter wasnt even asked to be in a Skills Challenge. And thats FAR more important then a dunk contest. W/o Kidd, Carter would be cring over injures, but he would just be faken it because he doesnt want to be embarrassed.....HALF MAN HALF WOMEN......VINCE CARTER!
