Greatest Dunk Ever

What gets your dunk for greatest dunk ever?

J-Rich's in one slam dunk contest gets mine. Don't remember what year. 2003 I think. Maybe they'll show it and then I'll remember the actual name and description of the dunk.

Hmmm out of this group I would say....... Foul Line dunk by MJ . I have that poster and its the logo to his shoes.
Leaner won it , good dunk.

Next Group... IMpressive dunks , but I give it to Dee Brown , I've tried that dunk on a 9 foot rim its freaking hard as hell to do.

Kenny Walker got it...

Next Group.... More Nice Dunks man , beautiful dunks. I'd say J.R. Rider man , only reason is because I think Cedric Ceballos was looking in the hocus-pocus

Out of the first group I'd go with the Nique 360 off two feet.

It's close with Stansbury's. I think Nique's looks a lot better though.

89-91 Kenny Walker's 360 windmill.

92-94 J.R. Rider - East Bay Funk Dunk

Wow , 95-97 , I'd go with Brent Barry man....

Now 2000-2001 .... Lemme see...
I'd have to go with the 360 Strong , probably my favorite dunk of all time . Wow. Close 2nd is VC's bounce between the legs.

2002-2003....

J-Rich , WOW 360 reverse windmill..
Desmond Mason between the legs (lefty)
J-Rich , Lob Windmill..
J-Rich , Basline between the legs....

I'd go with the baseline between the legs , just an amazing contest.

2004-2005

J-rich , off the glass betwen the legs..
Fred Jones , Bounce pull back (Wow , thats nice as hell)
JR. Smith , Behind the back (nice nice)
Amare Stoudemire , off the head 360...
Josh Smith , the Dominique...

I'd go with J-rich off the glass between the legs , close 2nd is the pull back by Fred Jones . All these dunks were amazing..

95-96 Brent Barry - Foul Line

2000-01 Vince Carter - Bounce & Between Legs
2002-03 J-Rich - Bounce Reverse Windmill(THAT'S MY ALL-TIME FAVORITE)

John you voting for a dunk? If you are what dunk you voting for man? I'm gonna see all the dunks and then vote .

MJ's leaner vs. Vince Carter's bounce between the legs .... I'd go with Carter , even though I thought his 360 power windmill was better.

It's a cross between barry's free throw line (the only true free throw line dunk)

the carter 360..J-rich's bounce reverse...and jordan's cradle rock

There is no single greatest dunk of all time imo.

you cant really compare every single dunk. there is no best dunk.

however, up on the top has to be mj's leaner, stansburys statue of liberty, and carters bounce between the legs.

I didn't think MJ's leaner was that special. Seemed like that dunk got through just cause he was Michael Jordan.

agreed...the reverse dunk under the rim...the cradle rock..and even the free throw line dunk in slow motion were alot better.

Jordan's free throw line dunk in 1987 and the one in 1985 were further back, the 1985 one was behind the line. No one mentions them because the 1988 one is more popular as it was his final dunk and clinched the contest. Brent Barry stepped on the line and while the dunk was impressive, he did not double clutch or kick his legs out...there was less illusion of flight, less showmanship.

I didn't like the dunks they chose at all.

I woulda put J-Rich's windmill and VC's 360 in the new school finals with J-Rich's winning.

And MJ's cradle under the rim(I'm not sure what it is called, but it's in that new MJ commercial towards the end) vs. Dominique's 360 in the old school finals with MJ's cradle winning.

Then J-Rich's windmill winning it all. That dunk was just awesome, sick, etc.. every extreme adjective you can use to describe it.

This is a Vince Carter winmill collection. Whatever anyone else can do in a dunk contest, he can do it better in a GAME.

Pay attention to almost the end where the passer bounce the ball high off the glass and Vince took off 2 FEET FROM THE FOUL LINE, grab it, and WENT UP ABOVE THE RIM for the unbelievable winmill. And he made a complete 360 revolution with his hands(most people can't do that on winmills), plus he was coming with lightning fast speed.

Just check it out

Its a 50 in a dunk contest. And it would have been the greatest dunk contest dunk in the NBA tv where they are listing the top dunks in a dunk contest.

So bow to Vinsanity & King Kobe!

did you guys see the "greatest dunk" show on TNT?

Kenny and Charles said at the time and even up to now, no one had/has tried dunking "sideways". When you watch the replay in slow motion, he's takes off from a sizeable distance and is 45 degree to the floor

...

Kenny Walker's 360 dunk where he cuffs the ball and throws it down with his head level with the rim. that is most impressive, powerful, and graceful dunk to me.

yea, that is spectacular. But it was in a game.

The greatest dunk contest dunk would be Vince 360 winmill reverse.

The second greatest would be vince arm in the rim. Man, everyone's chaw drop. Streve francis, shaq, fans.
