Francis for Odom, Multiplayer Trade Possibility

Your thoughts? Seems like a good trade, though Magic seem to be on the losing side.

Are you kidding? If this happens, Orlando is getting themselves a steal. Odom was a borderline star in Miami and he'll be again if he becomes a primary ballhandler with a solid post player by his side. Francis is a player in the Marbury mold. That should tell you something.

The only reason Odom is doing shit lately is because Kobe took his spirit away with his selfishness. I think Odom will play well in Orlando, hell the team might get even better. Fransis somewaht like Kobe, I bet those 2 can actually play together.

Why would LAL do this trade? They would have 2 players that have bad attitudes!

It would be a very stupid trade. I actually like Odom somewhat in LA and what I think they really need is some size with decent talent up front not another trigger finger.

i think Odom is doing well in LA.. He isn't really going to be a 20 point scorer, he is rebounding fine, and he is dishing out enough assists.. He could be getting more if Lakers doesn't run a kobe offense, where kobe shoots after doing some shake and baking..

I would love for this trade to happen for the Magic. Darko, Howard and Odom on the frontcourt would be awesome, and getting rid of Francis would get rid of a player with a bad attitude and make room for the development of Jameer Nelson (a point guard that actually passes the damn ball).

Do the Lakers need a guy like Francis right now? LA should have more players who fit the role player field since Kobe is going to carry the scoring and show for as long as he's on the court.

Odom is one of my favaorite players. Him going to the Magic will probably give him more personal success. But i would like to see him stay in LA, for now, and contribute as much as he can. I really see him as the Pippen that was for MJ on this team. Kobe will be the main guy, but Odom can do a lot of great things for the team without scoring. He's come close to triple doubles many times. Francis on the other hand won't fit in.

the fact orlando got arroyo tells me that francis is going bye bye. but this would probably be a bad trade for the lakers (unless there are extras, hedo?) i wouldn't put it past mitch brainsforshit though.

And that's why every bad team in the NBA has beat them at one point or another, the Kobe + 11 roleplayer strategy is a total disaster.

Then why did the report say the Lakers are "aggressively pursing" the trade?
