Who would you take?

Postby Axel on Sat Feb 11, 2006 5:34 pm

Simple question. I'd take Brand over the others. I heard Charles Barkley call Tim Duncan 'the most dominant player in the world', and laughed, so I wanted to know if everyone else agrees with him. These are the four best that I could think of.

Statistically speaking, Brand is the best choice. But Duncan can be legitimately viewed as the greatest power forward of all time, so it has to be timmy.

Yeah you did miss out on the "Mailman" but probably out of those Elton Brand.

It's Stoudamire. That's two different surnames.

What are you correcting him on? Amare's last name is Stoudemire. Damon's is Stoudamire.

Shit, that's no question, Duncan, in my mind, is the best PF of all time. Hats off to Malone, but Duncan, he's something else.

Which PF would you most like to have on your team?

Just count the rings and you'll know.

Although I'd take Duncan at Center, not Pf.

Right now, the best PF is Duncan. Individually it's KG, but best for your team, Duncan.

Although I'd pick Dwight Howard over these guys to build my team around. He's just crazy. Who else grabs 12+ rebounds in only their second year?

Jermaine O'Neal hasn't shown us much of anything after his MVP-esque season a few years ago and Pau Gasol has only recently shown that he can be a leader on his team.

I'd go with Duncan. More rings and he's a proven winner.

I'd take Duncan if it was for a little while because he is getting old so i'll take Jermaine instead if I want him to stay for a longer period of time.

Duncan is the most overrated player I can think of. His free throw shooting is horrible, but Brand shoots near 80%. Brand also has a good mid range game, is averaging more points (6) and more blocked shots per game. He is shooting the ball at 53% compared to 49% for Duncan, and he's HEALTHY. Why does everyone think Duncan is so much better?

Duncan has been injured this season, I don't know who told you he was healthy. He hasn't really missed too many games, but he's had problems with his ankles, and hasn't had the same quickness and lift all year. I'm probably the biggest Brand fan here, but Duncan is a better player. I mean when Duncan is not there, his defensive impact is clearly noticable.

Brand has been playing great, and he's the easy choice after Duncan, but he's not better than Duncan.
