East seems fair enough....as for West, I knew Paul would get snubbed due to being a rookie....although I do feel sorry for poor Melo....Melo is more deserving than Ray Allen this year....ahh well :|

Ray Allen is a guard though , I know it sucks , but it happened . I don't know why Gasol is a backup C.

Then who is going to replace R. Wallace on the bench ? By saying who was replacing J.O, I meant a player that didn't make the team that is going to make the team.

Maybe David Stern will pay tribute to the Pistons by naming Sheed to start and adding Prince. But not likely.

What about Dwight Howard being added as a bench guy with someone else starting?

no kidd? no bibby? come on. personally, i think bibby should've made it over ray allen. kidd better replace JO as the injured reserve.. no way in hell would the nets be where they are without kidd.

Rasheed's not going to be too happy... I also think Carmelo deserved a spot, I'm hopeful Dwight Howard doesn't make it but who knows. It's fairly likely.

Arenas needs to be there. But they'd probably replace JO with another forward, which would have to be Webber or Jamison. I think give Rasheed the start, if only to dilute the Pistons swarm on the bench.

Bosh better start, he deserves it. And that may be a homer comment, but it's true.

Four Pistons? I don't care if they have the best record in the league, there are more deserving forwards and guards out there than Rasheed Wallace and Richard Hamilton. Dallas is only two games behind the Pistons, but you don't see the coaches putting 4/5 of their starting lineup in the all-star game.

Guys who should be ahead of Rasheed Wallace: Chris Webber, Dwight Howard

...Richard Hamilton: Gilbert Arenas, Michael Redd

It's also a shame they couldn't find a spot for Carmelo. He's the best player on the third best team in the West.

I'm actually ok with Hamilton being there. He deserves it. I'm actually not too sure why Rasheed Wallace is there. Sure he's helping the team, and their team is going for 70 wins, but he's not the Rasheed Wallace of old. He's averaging what, 15, 6 and 2? Are those really All-Star numbers? I know that there are some things players do that don't show up on the box score (ie, setting picks, doing all the dirty work downlow), but 80% of a team's starting lineup on an all-star bench is ridiculous. In my opinion, Rasheed shouldn't be there, and he could make room for guys like Gilbert Arenas and Michael Redd.

Oh and way to go BOSH! I agree w/ Cable Guy. Start Bosh @ PF!!

theres a reason why Rasheed is there....he pretty much dominated the East teams he's played. That's what the coaches saw, that's who they voted. Statistically it's not his best season but he's playing some of the best ball he ever has. The coaches went for the team oriented theme that they were talking about.

Surprised that there is 4 Pistons, but hell i'm not gonna complain. At least 4 coaches voted in the Pistons starting 5. (Carlisle, Brown, Woodson, Rivers). I never really have beef with coaches picks, they know the ins & outs of the league better than anyone else.

Chris Bosh deserves that spot too, he's played like a superstar.Hard to see who'll get the last spot though.

Arenas should get the final spot. Fgrep had a convincing arguement in the stein thread.

And I have no issues with the 4 pistons being named. They deserved it.

I think they should limit the amount of players representing the same team to around 2. I cant argue with their selection cuz the Pistons are great and all but I would much rather see a variety of stars from variety of teams rather than a bunch of guys from the same team.

I'd rather the best players in the game. I'd hate to see Dwight Howard in the game ahead of a winner like Rasheed Wallace.

Solid selections with a few snubs, but that's always going to be the case when there's only 14 reserve spots to fill.

Makes sense but its kinda rough on all the other people who arent big Detroit Pistons fans. I pray to Mahammed  that Flip doesnt have his players dominate all the minutes on the court. :)
