Denver Trade Talks...

Postby air2k5 on Fri Feb 10, 2006 8:34 am

I am hearing lots of rumours about Denver pullijng a deal of on Kmart? Do you guys think they will be able to pull it off? Maybe for Steve Fransis? DO you think it wil lbenefit Nuggets?
I personally think that Nuggets Need to make a move on Kmart ASAP. I am from Denver and personally I love Kmart, but he is not what Nuggets need. He has no shot whatsoever, this year's injurys are horrible, and it seems like sometimes he does not try hard, he has a 11m contract. I think Nuggets should really try and trade kmart for Fransis, that way they will have a great starting SG which will really help them out. For the rest of the season while NENE is out they can start Elson or Najera at PF and have a good lineup:
Camby
Elson/najera
Carmelo
Fransis
Miller
And hopefully Nene will come out great out of his knee injury. Discuss.

I could not agree with Anthony15 more. I was thinking about getting season tix for all home games when they got Kmart, I was looking forward to his explosivness that he had back in NJ, his dunks. This season he simply sucked, and getting payd 11m for doing the job he does here is simply rediculous. First half of the season he played like you would in High School, standing around, apperantly due to his knee. Then he began actually trying hard on the floor, but his lack of shot really showed. They need to trade him for somebody better ASAP. He is currently ouyt with an injury he got at practice, thats 2nd time he got injured in practice in a last week, I simply think he is faking some of his injurys, there is no way a guy like him can be injured so much, hell he didn't get injured as much in Nj.

He was ONLY involved in a major car accident when in highschool that shattered some bones in his legs..........that couldn't possibly have weakened his legs could it....................

I'm almost sure it was a sign & trade, so NJ gave him that contract.

yah it was a sign and trade. New Jersey got three first round draft picks if i'm not mistaken (05, 06 and 07). The 05 one obviously went to Toronto in the Vince Carter trade.

Back to the point, does Denver really want someone like Steve Francis??

No I dont think Francis would fit in with Denver. They need a spot up shooter, not another person who requires touches.

Why not? He is kind of a guy that can bring energy to htis team, he is also a leader, those two things is what Denver needs right now.

yes it was sign and trade but the nets only did it cause the nuggets wanted to give him that money...
anyway only reason he looked nice was cause of jason kidd...
knicks will no doubt take on him if possible.. overpaid, injuried.. sounds like the average knick

The only place I would care or like to see K-Mart at, would be back in NJ. They would pwn everyone once again!

injuries aside, K-Mart's game was not worth the money he got. Someone in Denver forgot to ask if Kidd comes along with K-Mart.

His rebounding has never been that great, he doesn't really have any spectacular offensive moves (this was hidden well in NJN because of Nets fastbreaks which were the best i've ever seen). I'll give him credit for his man to man D which is pretty good last i've seen.

He's still a capable PF, which goes for a premium in this league. Look at Adonal Foyle's contract, or Delambert's, or Chandler's, and look at their numbers. As a Bulls & Sonics fan, i'll just say be careful of what you ask for in gutting your inside presence for high scoring perimeter.
