'Cats starters combine for 91 to get a W

Charlotte, NC(AP) -- Charlotte Bobcats played a good game on both ends to get a win against the Rockets. One of the main reasons the Rockets played very bad is because Tracy McGrady scored only 5 points on 2-5 shooting. "We did a great job on T-Mac, containing him and not letting him score easy baskets" - said Richardson.

Through all 3 quarters the teams were going head to head as the Cats took a 3 point lead at the end of the 3rd, Okafor scored 2 and a foul for a 68-65 lead.

The 4th quarter was all Bobcats, the Rockets couldn't stop them on the perimeter and inside as the Bobcats rolled on to win 96-87. This snaps Charlotte's 2 losing streak and gets them 1 game over Miami in the Southeast Division. Houston isn't doing so bad themselves with a 14-10 record.

Kobe puts on a show in the 4th as Lakers win in a close one

Charlotte, NC(AP) -- Kobe's 11 points in the 4th quarter gave the Lakers a win that they needed to get to .500 "We did a great job today, Richardson did a good job guarding me and limited me to 24 ponits, but we pulled it out" - said Kobe.

The 1st quarter was close. The Lakers got off to a good start 8-2. But then 'Cats caught up and were down only by 3 at the end of the 1st.In 2nd quarter the 'Cats dominated on defensive end, and limited Kobe's shooting to only 4 points. The Cats led at the half 45-49.

The 3rd quarter was horrible for Charlotte. They only made 12 points, most of them from Thomas. "My teammates were just standing there and waiting for me to score" - said Kurt. The 4th was close, but the gap that the 'Cats made in the 3rd wasn't closed and they lost. Charlotte is now 14-7.

Yeh... somehow Kobe doesn't sound like Kobe!

He would say, "The other team doubled and tripled me but as the game went on, I figured them out and got us the win..."

Well, I guess Q put some kind of a substance in Kobe's gatorade bottle that made Bryant say nice things during comments :)

With how much I see KG in Live 06, I'm surprised that he doesn't score a triple double almost every other game! Nice sweet screen shots there! I also see that you're getting closer to the end of the season so please send me your pstat file again when you get there!

Mon Feb 06, 2006 4:22 pm

Nice win man.
Brevin Knight's defense held Carter to less than 5 points which is good.

Mon Feb 06, 2006 5:44 pm

haven't checked this for a while...... great win over the wolves..... i can see that you got peja, great addtion to a young team like the bobcats...... oh, but my man rush didn't score....anyway, i hope he'll be fine next game..... good luck man....
