He will probably start ahead of Nate Robinson (thank fucking god) and Davis' starting spot should be either Ariza's or Frye's, which will help. Theres no point to tanking the season for the draft pick, becuase it's chicago's, and i spose it doesnt make all that much sense to let Davis' contract expire becuase New York is so over the cap it wont matter.
Plus the first round pick will help.

Toronto gets afor this.
The rookies need time to play and develop

FIRE ISIAH NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I saw this rumored trade at another website - Ruben Patterson & Theo Ratliff for Frye and Penny Hardaway. Now if Isiah is dumb enough to make that move, this long-time Knick fan is done with this franchise until they clean house, from Dolan on down. Hopefully that's just a rumor.

They need to win the next 15 out of 20 games to have a really good chance at making the play-offs. If they do that, then shoot me in the leg and call me a tool
Ariza starting? :lol That's not happening.
But the more I think about it, Rose can help New York.
Matthew wrote:Ariza starting? :lol That's not happening.
He's started close to 1/3 of the games this season.. and now that davis is traded, brown may go for a curry, lee, ariza frontcout. I'd rather see frye in the mix than lee though, but thats just me.

And the trading of Davis increases playing time for their best rookie, Channing Frye...
As for rebuilding? For what? They can't get a high draft pick becuase the bulls own their pick this season. And yes it's true he has a high salary, but the Knicks will be over the cap regardless of Rose's deal. His contract makes no difference there.
With all that being said, maybe it's time Larry Brown moved upstiars to take charge of basketball operations? Then maybe he could hire Isiah as head coach?
The Knicks are definitely out of the play-offs race this year unless a miracle happens like Quentin Richardson plays defence or something
Matt, that "playoffs no matter what" attitude is why this franchise hasn't won sh!t since 1973. Forget playoffs - this season(and the next few) should be about developing the young players and letting these stupid contracts expire. Until NY gets under the cap, they can't sign a franchise player in order to become a playoff contender. So what's the point in trying to squeeze water out of a rock, which is what management has been doing the past 30+ years. Remember what the Bulls did after 1998?That's what NY should have done after 2000. If it takes 4-6 years of rebuilding to straighten this franchise out, then so be it. But first, we need smart management. Matt, I've been saying this for years - as long as James Dolan and Cablevision are in charge, Knicks are f----d.
