NATE ROBINSON - I think he will be a finalist, well, I hope... or I will lose 5 € :P
JOSH SMITH - same as Nate :D
IGUODALA - I really can't imagine him in a dunk contest doing 360's... I think he will do strong dunks and alleyoops, ala Fred Jones in 2004.
HAKIM WARRICK - I've seen this guy in the NCAA for some years and... I can imagine him doin' any dunk possible, really, he sometimes seems Spiderman, with those long arms and his jumping ability. I didn't bet for him to win, but I would love it. (Y)

I think next year it will be the best dunk contest in history, with James White, Rudy Gay, Josh Smith or some other guys. 8-)

I hope somebody challenges LeBron or badmouths him into playing for the dunk contest next year. He might not do anything fancy in games, but I'm sure he has the ability to pull off something better than Chris Anderson.

Since they insist on doing the 4 man contest and probably won't have more than two dunks per person per round, I hope they leave the creativity up to the participants; no mandatory "using a teammate" dunks, no wheel.

If it's optional as it has been the last few years, no worries. Leaving it at the participant's discretion doesn't hamper their creativity.

They should expand the contest, allow non-NBA players to enter since the actual NBA players are such bitches about it.

I doubt that would work well, cuz then it wouldn't be an NBA dunk contest. I just wish some of the top dunkers would actually shut up with the excuses and do it. I was watching the 2003 McDonald's dunk contest and I can't remember who it was, but there was a guy in it that hurt his ankle and was limping, but still tried until he could no longer go. This is about as bad as the US Olympic team shit.

Okay, here's some Nate Robinson footage. http://www.sendspace.com/file/gxxjx3

If you wanna cut the sh!t, just skip to 1:50 in the video, it's only 2 and a half minutes anyway. He didn't make the dunks, but they were close.

In the NBL (Australian) Dunk contest some guy did the Vince Carter elbow dunk and tore a muscle in his shoulder and is out for the rest of the season. I guess that might have something to do with people not wanting to enter.....injuries.

Possibly, but like I said only one player has injured themselves in the NBA contest and he basically just aggravated a knee that was already tender and heavily braced.

I didn't watch the NBL dunk contest this year. The 2004 contest was just too sad, plus I was disgusted at the competition to be a judge where you had to tell Steve Carfino in 25 words or less why you should judge. "Here's a hint, the best ones might not have anything to do with basketball! In fact, it might be better if we get someone who doesn't know much about the game to be the guest judge!" Yeah, because the NBL needs more people who know nothing about basketball to become involved in the league.

hahahaaha, I didn't watch the dunk contest either actually. I just caught some highlights on the news and some of the dunks were actually pretty decent (All from the imports of course). The dunk that caused the injury was pretty much up there with Carter's one. I guess there aren't many variations on that dunk, just showing the hops they have I guess.

Some of the entries in 2004 actually had me laughing out loud. The judging was a complete joke too. Not a patch on the NBA contest, as I knew it wouldn't be.

They're both overrated dunkers, and I get the impression half of Wade's only look impressive because he inexplicably hits the ground everytime he comes down. David Lee might've been worth a shot, I think he beat James White in a dunk contest once.

couldn't agree more....a token white guy would have great....much better than seeing Josh Smith in the contest again :|

I think Warrick will win....I don't know if Nate can pull off a Spud Webb-like performance....either way, they're 2 very different dunkers, so can't really compare the 2....

David Lee's much better than your average white guy dunker. He'd mop the floor with Chris Anderson. As already mentioned, he's won a dunk contest before. Not that that means a lot.

I agree with you about Nate and Spudd being two very different kind of dunkers.

I knew that....I really like David Lee, that's why I'd want him in there, not just because he's white....although it's good to have a token guy....maybe a rule of one white or Euro/International guy would be good
