This had fallen to the third page. :o

Here's my CD collection:

And what do people here think of Nas signing with Def Jam?

edit: the PHP code is perfect. Works on other sites and is copied directly from imageshack. Why wasn't it working.

edit 2: Spaces? For basically everything else putting in a space messes it up, but not this. And it has worked on other sites.

Nice collection Colin, I ordered The Roots - Do You Want More off that site Matt posted about and the Wu-Tang Manual (both for free haha!)

What'd you think of Do You Want More ?

Mon Jan 30, 2006 9:15 am

Great album. They don't have as much of a street influence on DYWM, so you find anything remotely like Clones on it. It's got more in common with Native Tongues material in the jazz influences, but at the same time is completely different. None of The Roots' material really compares with anything else, but you should like it. It's probably a 4.5 in my books. There's nothing wrong with it, but at the same time it isn't astounding. Just dope.

To put it short, it's well-worth the $10 I spent on it.

And you just made me put Essaywhuman?!!!??! on. Weird track, but the istrumentals are beautiful.

Sounds good, I'll be ordering KMD - Black Bastards off the site next when I build up the cash, going to take a while because I'm back at school tommorow.

The KMD album is real rare tho, hard to find everywhere.

Mon Jan 30, 2006 9:53 am

Why order when its free??

Mon Jan 30, 2006 12:21 pm

You talking about the site ? Or downloading ?

Don't torrents have them albums???

Colin that's about 100 CD's roughly right. I think i might have about 80 originals but i got another half dozen coming in soon.

Mon Jan 30, 2006 1:32 pm

I think there's 98 in that pic. I have about a dozen crappy old ones lying around somewhere that I never listen to (ie. a Ja Rule album.)

Fuck TORRENTS, I got a shit load of downloaded albums...actually probably any good hip hop album ever made. But I like to get my stuff original too.

Mon Jan 30, 2006 7:03 pm

Same. I'd have at least 250 downloaded albums, but around 150+ bought.

Jae stop talking about illegal downloads.

Yes...haven't listened tho, thats the problem with downloading...you get so much but hardly listen to them. On the other hand if I buy an album I make an extra effort to listen to it.

Hey Matt do you still use MSN ? I haven't seen you on for ages

Current: Fix You - Coldplay (it's not even that great of a song. It just reminds of a certain moment that i can't explain, where i was so happy. So every time i hear those intro organs it makes me happy. And that's what music is all about, making you feel a certain way.)

Current All time (): Take The Veil Cerpin Taxt - Mars Volta, The (The Mars Volta are the best band i have ever been exposed to in my life. But they're not pop, so most people wont like them, or either it takes a while to get used to them. They're not metal or hardcore or anything, but they're full on in the way that, their music is so detailed, that it's hard to wrap your mind around. There is no category for them either, they're like nobody else. I reccomend for EVERYBODY to listen to Mars Volta and give them a chance, and if you don't like them, then fine, but you'll be a better person for hearing it. Of all the Mars Volta songs i've heard, i think this one represents them best. So go download it. But i warn you: They are all very much musician's musicians. Their music will probably just sound like noise to most who can' disect (did i spell that right?) it. I respect every person's musical ability in this band like i do of no other. There's a lot going on in their music, but it's so tight at the same time. But anyway, i'll stop raving about it. Now go download it! P.s. i saw them live on Sunday, and they put on a rad live show. The singer (singer from At The Drive In, remember them?) is full of energy. I'm seeing them again this Thursday too. can't wait!)

Wow i really ranted on there didn't i.

trapped by living end, or from here on in by the living end

pretty much any living end song...

Tue Jan 31, 2006 5:29 pm

The Mars Volta are garbage. Hang your head in shame.

Wed Feb 01, 2006 12:05 am

How about i hang my head while i look through the drawer to find a GUN TO BLOW YOUR FUCKING HEAD OFF!! :x

Well, i guess to each their own. I shall seperate into a dark corner now with a flag saying "Go Volta" on it.
