We could have won this game easily if it weren't for Kobe....

Should Sam Mitchell be fired?

In Kobe's next game against the Warriors, he scores 30 points after an overtime win and here's what he had to say after the game:

Hesitant to shoot through the opening three quarters, when he was 2-of-12 from the floor and Los Angeles fell behind 73-66, Bryant scored 16 in the fourth -- including a pair of free throws to even it at 94 with 7.1 seconds left in regulation.

"They came out and they zoned up and they trapped and they doubled, and we just continued to move the ball," Bryant said.

"It took me three quarters to kind of get the rhythm down on what they were trying to do defensively so I could go into attack mode in the fourth quarter, where I was able to start attacking the basket a little bit and get something going."

Golden State played better defensively against Bryant than the Raptors did. I don't know if it's the team doesn't have any good defenders (Peterson?), the lack of preparation or our team defense just plain sucks. If it was either the latter two, then something's not right in Mitchell's system.

Thoughts?

I first thought Sam Mitchell would be a great coach for this team because we'd have a guy who knew was strict but at the same time could relate to the players.

It turns out that Sam Mitchell is nothing but an idiot. His defensive schemes are similar to that of a whackjob, and he has attrocious substitution patterns and a piss poor sense of when to sub a player off and where to put him, (one time he put Jalen Rose on Ben Wallace and he's been playing Bosh for 40+ minutes in blowout games :shake:). Lets not also forget to mention that his offensive plays consist of nothing but a few simple pick and rolls and it turns out his "tough love" mentality tends to be overly agressive and backfire on a lot of his players.

Its his second year and we need to give him time, but if he keeps handling things in his current idiotic way then he isn't fit to be a head coach.

he's still better than mike woodson.... one game salim was going off poppin three pointers and draining them and he took him out of the game.... how ridiculous is that??? a player is on a hot streak and you take him out... nice confidence booster, especially for a rookie

I'd say Kings. Artest is going to completely handcuff Mo Pete and Rose.

once again, bad coaching decisions and failure to shutdown the opposition in crunch time and not making free throws causing the game into overtime. and once again, we cant do shit in overtime, and bosh has finally had it. this losing has taken its toll on him and he finally snapped. think thats his first ejection ever by the way.

EDIT: LMFAO ROSE HITS A JUMPER TO GIVE US THE 1 POINT LEAD, 0.4 SECONDS LEFT AND WERE LEADING!!

EDIT #2: FUCK YA WE WON, WE FINALLY GET IT DONE, EVEN WITH BOSH FOULING OUT!!! WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!! THANK GOD THEY WON IT FOR BOSH, THE MAN PLAYS HIS HEART OUT EVERY GAME JUST TO HAVE SOME OTHERS GIVE HALF ASSED EFFORTS, THANK GOODNESS THE REST OF THE TEAM HELD ON!!

Finally a win, and Jalen was clutch with that shot. I thought be was going to lose, but then bam, Rose hits the jumper and we're up by 1, man... what a good feeling.

And did you see Pap Sow with that block?? DAmn....

Man... I was kinda drunk while watching the game, and it sucks cause I kinda forgot what happened in the first half, and w/e, but atleast I wasn't drunk in the second half because that was the best part of the game...what an exciting game, especially in OT.

That was one hell of a game. Mike Bibby was just as clutch as hell for the Kings, but Jalen made the one that counted. Mike James was pretty clutch in overtime too.

And wow, I haven't seen Bosh so pissed off before. It was a foul though, a little bump, but it was a foul. His tech almost lost us the game, but luckily, we fought back. It's one thing to be pissed off about a foul, but it's another to save your team a point in a close game.

That Pape Sow block was sick. Now that Babcock's gone, I hope Embry sends Rafael Araujo to the D-League and keep Pape here. He's earned his way to play in the NBA. If the Raptors keep developing him here, he's gonna turn into a poor man's Ben Wallace in a year or two.

Terrible execution down the stretch killed us. I gave up watching after Bosh was ejected because the momentum seemed like it was in their favour and I was pretty fed up that we lost an 11 point lead in the fourth quarter.

Good thing Jalen bailed us out.
