Next game ,

Toronto (13-26) at Seattle (15-23)

Well they better win today. They better take the advantage of the Sonics having no Ray Allen. Last time these two played, it was a pretty close game and went into overtime where they lost only by 5-6 points.

Chris Bosh continues to amaze me. If he improves his D (which he will, once he gets a steady position on the court), he'll could become one of the greats - and I'm not overreacting. He only needs a guy (or guys) who could man the middle, so he can permanently move to the PF position.

Ye mann. Maybe the Raptors can get one before the trade deadline ends. Know of any eligible Centres that are on the market ?

One would think Magloire would be up for grabs given the number of solid centres on the Bucks' roster. Villaneuva+filler for Magloire, a Canadian hero would make sense for both parties.

I know he is Canadian and all but I kno Babcock aint that fucked up to trade Villanueva. This kid has a bright future. I can see like Eric Williams and One of there first one draft picks for Magloire.

Villaneua is playing the same position as Bosh does. His draft value is also pretty high, I would say, and I think that trade would be fair for everyone involved. Sooner or later, Raptors will have a choice to make: Bosh or Charlie. Considering the superior upside and current skillset (plus intangibles) of Bosh, I would make the trade for a big now, so it would make Bosh happy. There's a big, big chance he'll leave Toronto for Lakers, so his happines is one of the things Babcock should take care of.

Maybe old new....

But did anyone else read the article about how Channing Frye refused to even work out for the Raptors, leaving them with not much choice but to draft Charlie V or Diogu?

There seems to be something wrong with that, if you sign up for the draft you don't even have to show up for the teams drafting you unless you want to?

Woot woot, Raptors Win !

I watched a bit of the game. Don't really know what to say.

Bosh really killed them with his 17-17 FTM/FTA.
Jalen Rose is starting to pick up his game so far.
Matt Bonner did good replacing injured Araujo in the lineup. (11 points and 6 Rebs )
Pape Sow played his first game since coming back from the d-league. In 7 Min he got 2 points, 1 rebound and 3 personal fouls. Since Araujo is out, I can see him get between 10-15 min a game. See how he does than.

great game by bosh, as usual, 17-17 is great. pape is gonna get some minutes with hoffa out, hope he makes the best of them. as illuzionz said, rose is starting to do better. the third quarter, if anyone saw, was almost purely offense, for like five straight minutes, the sonics and the raptors just constantly traded baskets. By the way, whos currently our starting centre with hoffa out?

BONNER

Sun Jan 22, 2006 6:53 am

I hate it when Sam starts Bonner at C. Start Sow for fucks sakes, he's an agile big man who can actually play some D.

Anyway, good win by the Raptors, and it was a high scoring game from two offensive-oriented teams.

Sun Jan 22, 2006 7:04 am

wow jalen rose been playing well as of late.. wouldnt mine swaping him for penny

Sun Jan 22, 2006 7:58 am

Sow should start at C and play more, because he needs to gain some respect from the officials. I think he can be a good player if he gets atleast 2-3 more touaches per game, because he hardly got aby in the Seattle game.

Sun Jan 22, 2006 11:03 am

But we also need to win. Looking at Sow play the other night, it seems like he's still raw. I saw moments in offense and defense where Sow was just confused or couldn't make up his mind. He would go toward the key for a few steps for a cut, but then decides not to and retreat. As much as i like to seem him get better, because he's got a lot of potential, that it doesn't mean he deserves the starting line up. Bonner is more experienced and can score. He's brings out the defender, the center, out of the key; if not, Bonner will just shoot the wide 3pt. Sow can come off the bench and still play a significant minutes.

Sun Jan 22, 2006 11:53 am

how tall is sow?

Sun Jan 22, 2006 12:40 pm

6'10'', I think.

Mon Jan 23, 2006 2:52 pm

74 fucking points by kobe, with free throws coming up.

Mon Jan 23, 2006 3:40 pm

Tue Jan 24, 2006 2:06 am

this thread is on hold.. not sure if raptor fans can show there face after that performance by kobe

Tue Jan 24, 2006 2:15 am

They'll propably cancel rest of their games or at least move to some uknown location to play home games.

Tue Jan 24, 2006 2:21 am

That game was bull.... we were leading by like 19points and then out of nowhere, kobe starts scoring liek a mad man.

Tue Jan 24, 2006 5:41 am

it wasn't out fault. We did our best, but Kobe just caught on fire and as we all know, when that happens, no one is this league can stop him.

Tue Jan 24, 2006 7:18 am

damnit, this loss is up there with the vc loss earlier this season, a real tough one to get over. We have to somehow shake this off and win.
