u guys r dum. Brand and Marion SHOULD be the men. Marion is having one fuckuva year, and Brand WAS having a good year. Marion is by far, no contest, the most underrated player in the NBA, poor guy never gets respect. If the coaches don't at least get him on the A*G bench, then this league is corrupt and should be abandoned.

Depending on the status of Yao Ming, it might not matter. If he has to sit out the ASG I'd expect all three of those guys to start, with whoever's left out being nominated as the replacement starter.

So, you're a Phoenix fan.

Me too.

But you're a biased fan. The league is not corrupt if Marion does not make it. One can easily make a case for Duncan, Garnett, Brand, and Nowitzki being mroe deserving. I'd love to see him make it and think he deserves it, but it makes sense if he doesn't. And remember that the fan voting (the stats up top) only decide the starters (ie. two of the players up there) and McGrady and Stoudemire probably won't be playing.

garnett will end up starting i think. duncan was miles ahead of him a couple of weeks ago, but he closed the gap. i think he's going to edge out duncan by a little bit when voting is over.

how in the hell T-Mac is first? I guess popularity does count in the AS game. Or probably just because he's Yao's teammate now asians are voting for him because of that :)

Why in God's name is KG more deserving of a starter's nod that Duncan? His team is just average and his own numbers are actually down this year.

Because he's KG. Who else on that team do the people of Minnesota have to vote for?

I really dont care much about who makes it because it seems to get less interesting for me personally as the years go by. Its like that And1 streetball junk, at first your so caught up in all the flash but then there is really nothing to it that keeps your interest. Its just guys running up and down the court giving each other freebies until theres 2 minutes left in the game aand people get serious.

I'm waiting for that international ball.

Who said he's having a bad year? I'm just saying TD is better, despite playing on one foot.

And TD has Gino, TP and Finley to score points that get deducted from his totals. All KG has is Wally. Plus he's almost 2rpg down from last year.

They both have their pluses and minuses, but I think Garnett is a superior talent. He's a better rebounder, actually guards the opponent's best big man (or even a perimeter player) and brings that energy on the court which Duncan doesn't. He isn't guilty that the management can't put good players around him. He's a class act and he deserves it.
