Lebron & Anthony

I know Lebron is an all time great in process and I do know Camelo occasionally sucks. But let's talk about clutchiness. In recent games, Lebron has costed his team 2 games by missing potential game tying free throws. Anthony, on the other hand, have made 2 game winning shots.
Everyone is hyped about James, but when the game is put on the line, Camelo just got game. :roll:

you can't say carmelo got game based on 2 game winning shots in a week. lebron has taken his team to more wins where they didn't even need a game winning shot.

I do know Camelo occasionally sucks.......but when the game is put on the line, Camelo just got game.

Carmelo has taken his team to the playoff for 2 straight seasons, a feat Lebron hasn't been able to accomplish and you if you think about it making the playoff in the West Conference is twice as hard than in the East. Hopefully Lebron won't resemble Barkley's career as far as championship by the end everything is said and done.

Well I don't think it was very controversial that Carmelo is/was a better clutch player. Carmelo was a better clutch player as a rookie, is much better this season, and even last season was better.

Lebron is still developing that area of his game, and the past few games have not looked good for him in terms of being clutch. Look for him to be very cautious in his passing during crunch time from now on.

I think it's cause bron was never a good shooter to begin with but his shot has improved over the last 3 years. Melo is the better clutch player, but overall, Bron is still supeior.

like lebron himself said, he lacks the killer instinct that kobe and michael has/had.... that's why cleveland needs a steve kerr/robert horry type of player on their teams... sure lebron has the skills to lead his team to the w without it winding down to the last couple of seconds in the regular season but where it makes the difference is in the playoffs.... and right now the cavs don't have that clutch shot maker... maybe if they had redd...

I agree with just decent, the Cavs do need that clutch guy. Maybe Chucky Atkins will do :crazy:

LeBron did say he lacks the killer instinct of someone like Kobe Bryant, so I think that's part of the reason he's become so passive. He's struggled from the FT line, struggled in clutch situations, so instead of trying to get something going he's passing. I can't believe in the Portland game he passed to Eric Snow. Snow wouldn't shoot if he had a pistol and his wife was being raped.

Kobe Bryant came out in his rookie year wanting to shoot GW shots. He airballed his first one which was the best thing that ever happened to him. Maybe LeBron will have the same kind of transformation. Unfortunately "killer instinct" can't be coached. It's just something he either has or doesn't. I'm sure it's down there somewhere.

Agree with TBD. Kobe airballed in the playoffs, right? I guess LeBron needs something like that. A big game, failing. Then he'll (hopefully) develop the mentality.

Brian Windhorst of THE AKRON BEACON JOURNAL writes, "For the first time in his comet-esque career, the perception and stats are working against him. The most cutting is that he's 2-for-15 on potential game-tying or go-ahead shots in the last ten seconds of a game as a pro."

I was reading and found it wasnt 2 for 13 but 2 for 15. Just wanted to make the correction.

yea I remember his season ending turnover which set up "the shot" for MJ, I dun consider him great great though.

I think lebron should learn how to pace himself. I've watched the game were they played the knicks, he scored about 17 pts in the 3rd qtr and in the 4th he had only three. I think thats the problem coz he's physically and mentally tired and being relyed on too much. This is were he misses hughes playmaking. But he's still young though.
