New Patch - im not an expert at this, but I know the game.

Adjusted most categories. Lowered FG, 3pt, slightly. Increased Def. Awareness slightly. Touched up the speed for a more realistic pace, reduced steals and reduced dunks, although I did not decrease it as much as other patches do. Blocks decreased dramatically. The rest of the categories were also modified. I tried to adress all the problems. After adjusting globally, I individually looked at the superstars (I.E. kobe, T-mac, Iverson, etc.) of the NBA and edited them. They seem too underrated after the globabl adjustments. I think those are all the adjustments I made. The links on the bottom. I've never really made or edited any rosters for people, just for me personally, but we have been waiting for this game for so long and this is the only bball game we got, I wanted to contribute and help to make this game great. It has a lot of potential. The link is on the bottom. Again, I'm not an expert at this, but I know the game.

Superstar, 8 minutes, Off. Foul 2 clicks less from max, Def. Foul 3 clicks less from max, arcade mode w/ rules on, fatigue and injuries on, no cpu assistance, "user" shot control.

Unzip it to your x:\my documents\nba live 2003\saves
than just start Live and load it. Its called "tweaked" in slot 004.

Also want to let you know, the lineups arent current, but the players are on they're proper teams.

Do you have an example of some of the results you've gotten?

Nice roster. Plays well. Game is paced nicely; does a lot of the things I'm lookin' for. Good work, thanks for your efforts.

New Version

Postby handlementalz on Sat Nov 23, 2002 12:54 pm

 Here's a new version of my patch posted above. If you don't like this one, I kept the 1st one still up for DL. Minor adjustments made. Slight Increase in FTs (Superstar Level, check above recommended settings) and Dunks. Increase dunks to reduce missed open dunks. After global edits, I individually adjusted the Dunk Ratings of the ballers that can really throw it down (I.E. Oneal, Carter, Richardson, Francis, Mason, T-mac, Kobe, Garnett, ETC.) Link is on the bottom. Again the first version is still up for DL if you prefer that over this one. I know some don't like too much dunking, but also I know that it is unrealistic to miss so many open Dunks.

I haven't played using it, but just after loading it I noticed a problem: you have Darrell Armstrong ranked as the best player in the NBA along with Kobe Bryant. Lamond Murray is the best player on the Raptors with an 85 rating along with AD, and Vince is only 84?

I'm gonna see how it plays but especially for franchise mode and trading you gotta have the player ratings in proportion to real life.
