I wondered that last season too. Probably the same reason they shell out money for the Scrabble championships.

"American Tractor Pulling" is another. I can't imagine it has a huge following in Australia. To be fair there's restrictions in place and some of these things aren't in the same timeslot as live NBA games, but they could be spending their money on something better...such as the vintage NBA programs they were showing last year before the season, if there's no way of showing games after the fact in addition to the live matchups on the schedule.

Yes exactly, unlike gridiron we actually PLAY basketball in this country and have a national league, and compete internationally in the olympics.

Detroit Pistons vs. Philadelphia 76ers at Wachovia Center Philadelphia, PA USA

Orlando Magic vs. Milwaukee Bucks at Bradley Center Milwaukee

San Antonio Spurs vs. New Jersey Nets at Continental Airlines Arena East Rutherford

San Antonio Spurs vs. Philadelphia 76ers at Wachovia Center Philadelphia, PA USA*

*NBA Wednesday, since it doesnt feature Bucks it proabably wont be shown*

Philadelphia 76ers vs. Milwaukee Bucks at Bradley Center Milwaukee

and of course the All-Star stuff in between. At least no more Cleveland or Miami games (Y) Unfortunately every team has been shown already (not that i find watching Detroit or Philly play)

Not a bad schedule, though given Wade's one of my active favourites outside the Bulls I would have liked to have seen a Heat game or two this month. Still, a couple of Bogut games and one against the Magic no less (Hill). With my subscription to PonTel for the Bulls games, definitely better than nothing. :)

i think Jan. still holds a Spurs v Heat game for us though. And of course a rematch of Cleveland vs Indiana.

I swear, i don't wanna see another Cleveland home game again. Or Bucks for that matter.

I wish they did the schedule month by month. ESPN just tries to go for the big match ups instead of going for even teams. Most games are easy to pick the winners.

No more pistons games till playoffs, unless they add a game vs bucks.

Agreed, though sometimes they substitute as they drop and pick up games.

It would seem so. They're not showing the All-Star Game though, just the Rookie/Sophomore game and the All-Star Saturday events.

On the bright side, because it begins at 2:30 I'll get to see it since I finish work at 1 and usually only catch the second half live. :)

The day they do, I'm subscribing. Unless it's $500 a month, in that case I'd have to go without on my current budget.

Once again this is the best place to look for the ESPN Australia schedule, but I've checked for you and there's one scheduled for March 23rd (vs San Antonio).
