maybe it's a good thing he's coming off the bench.
look at ben gordon last year, that worked wonders for him and the team.

I think what this does is prove that Detroit's offense isn't as powerful as people have made it out to be. It can be shut down by a good defensive team such as Utah, or probably Memphis (moreso Memphis because they have good perimeter defenders, and Detroit has perimeter shooters).

Either way, I think this shows people that the Pistons aren't unbeatable.. and props to Utah... they have been decimated by injury all year and beat the Pistons both times.

Utah's bench not only outscored Detroit's bench 52 - 19, but they outscored their own starters 52 - 42.

I have no idea what goes on Sloan's head...why does he keep starting Giricek? He's a veteran that shoots 43% and 30% from long range and is allergic to passing.

Meh, it's not the end of the world. I don't expect them to go for 70 anyways, the best record in the NBA would be great (Y)

I wouldn't question what goes on in Sloan's head. He's probably the most overlooked and underrated coach in the league imo. He has gotten the most out of his players possible.

True. But who's then going to be ready to beat the Pistons again after cruising through the regular Season? Take a guess, they wear black. 8-)

Um...even though I am not on the "Chauncey Billups for MVP" wagon you still have to be in awe of what he did this season. Maybe later I'll see enough 10+ assist games and 30+ point games to convince me he should be mvp but I'm not convinced yet...it's just too early.

And what the hell is wrong with John Mason? Seriously , if you find John Mason "anoying" what do you find not annoying? NPR? John Mason is unquestionably the best introductions man in the NBA , no doubt. If you actually watched the Finals you'd see what a great pa announcer he is. Nothing , NOTHING , (and I'm not even a pistons fan) beats the cry of "DEEEEEEEETROIT (TM) BASKETBALL" when the Pistons get the ball back. That is just a historical pa announcement.

I love the "Big Ben" he plays whenever the man makes something happen!

True, but then they'll realise that Pistons are superior and will fall in line with the rest. :P

This time last year everybody was ranting about Phoenix... they imploded soon after. I'm rooting for another Spurs-Pistons Finals this year, but my pick will always be the Spurs.
