Wow, this guy can play. I just finished watching the Pacers Warriors game, and Diogu impressed the hell out of me. I would trade Ron for Diogu straight up right now, and If I were Donnie and Larry I'd be pushing for him as the centerpiece of the deal for sure.

He reminds me of a more finesse version of Elton Brand, in a lot of ways. The guys arms are long as hell, he can finish around the basket really, really well, and he rebounds the ball excellently.

I remember watching him play at Arizona State, but I didn't think his game would translate to the NBA that well.

Anybody else seen him play? Weaver what do you think of him?

he had some nice stats today, and looks like he could be a very good player

i doubt GS would want to give him up though, im pretty sure they realise he is good too

Of course they do, but I think they are pretty desperate to get Ron right now. I think if Larry/Donnie say we want Diogu or talks are over, Golden State will do it.

Weaver what do you think of him?

Let's just say that if this guy was 6'10" , he'd be worth a no. 1 pick back in June. He has the softest touch of any power forward to enter the league, has a sense of positioning few rookies have in the paint and he can finish like an automatic. His height is not much of an issue, either, because as Indy said he has long arms that make up for it.

Now, I doubt Mulling would trade him so soon after acquiring him, but I don't know. If it were to be him straight up for Artest it wuld be tempting, but the salaries would not match anyways, so we'd have to throw in Foyle... hehe, to get rid of Foyle's contract alone, I'd do that. I just hope we can get Scott Pollard, somehow...

7.6ppg and 2.5rpg isn't that good? He's the next Barkley.

But seriously, this kid is going to be a superb role player.

too late...but wait, i have reserves

anyways, Diogu is probably untradeable from a GSW standpoint. He's had some real nice games and is coming into his own after that injury.

I'm really beginning to tire of your constant off topic posts that have no relevance to anything. How exactly is my post of "don't judge a player by 1 game" related to Bogut at all? Why don't you go and give us some Golden State history Mr. Superfan, tell us all about Run TMC

I don't think many of you have followed the NBA for very long, or you just don't know very much. Impressions about a rookie have absolutley nothing to do with numbers in the beginning of the season. No rookies (with the exception of a few) come in right away and put up big numbers at the beginning of the season. But when you start the season sitting on the bench and your numbers are around 1.3 points, 1.6 rebounds, and then all of a sudden you get playing time and next thing you know it your numbers are at 7 and 3, that's hugely impressive.

Role player my ass, Diogu is going to be a star.

And, he's being offered for Artest. Come on do it Donnie!

We don't know that yet. Rumors are flying all over the place, but the consensus is that indeed the Warriors are the frontrunners in the chase for Artest.

 well the Lakers were offering Odom but Indy didn't want to give up "Top 3 NBA PG" Jamaal Tinsley so he forced the Pacers to reject the trade.

Jamaal is expendible. Injury prone, doesn't have a good 3 point shot and his creativity is outweighed by him not playing defense.

He's got a 7' 4" wingspan, pretty impressive. And it's still early in the year, but i don't know too many rookies capable of scoring at 64% FG% even with limited shots.
He looks like a real solid pickup for GS...they've always had a good eye for talent it seems...just unable to keep them.

And I don't really like Bogut but he's been playing consistenly good all season except some off-games, but everyone has those. He's really proven the haters wrong and I think he is closer to CP3 in the ROY rankings than what most people think. Look at how many minutes Paul gets.

I'm with you on that, mate. Bogut has logged more minutes and is generally more consistent than diogu, who only recently began to start. But the big Aussie still is far from being this good all the time. I hope he will be, though, I really liked him ever since he was here in Athens. (Y)
