Danny Granger

Thu Dec 22, 2005 12:28 pm

Danny is easing the pain of the Ron Artest trade demand, and actually making me almost happy Ron did it. Tonight against the Clips he dropped 16 points on 8-11 shooting with 7 boards, 3 blocks and 3 steals, and was a vital part in our 22 point blowout. Against the Knicks he had 12 points on 4-5 shooting with 6 boards and 3 blocks.

Since he's been getting more minutes he's quickly become a force, this guy's gonna be an all star in 2 or 3 years. He does it all, in fact I'm pretty confident he'll be better then Artest (and he's sane!!!). He's all hustle just like Jeff Foster, especially on defense. He can guard just about any position, he probably did the best job out of anybody against Elton Brand tonight, and played pretty good defense against Shaun Livingston and Cuttino Mobley too. Watch out for this guy, he's gonna be damn, damn good. Oh wait, he already is.

Ron who?

No I don't have any bias. :D

Ah yes, the one that got away.

Thu Dec 22, 2005 12:40 pm

I will wait and see if he keeps this up.

Thu Dec 22, 2005 1:44 pm

lol and i dropped him from my fantasy team in the nlsc league a few weeks back

Thu Dec 22, 2005 1:52 pm

Good night for the rookies, because Rashad McCants had his best game in his career with 14 points and 6 rebounds in 25 minutes tonight. 8-)

i just picked him up in my fantasy league. hopefully he will have more nights like this.

Thu Dec 22, 2005 2:37 pm

I haven't gotten the chance to watch any Indy games yet...but I will.

Thu Dec 22, 2005 3:13 pm

good stuff for danny granger. but i think injurys will soon get to him

Thu Dec 22, 2005 3:59 pm

he is tight. definitely a steal in the draft... he slipped to 19 i think.

but yes I like his defensive skills, which helps in fantasy... very good at steals and blocks... I like those type of players.

Thu Dec 22, 2005 6:19 pm

just in time to see more of him as he gets his chance @LeBron this saturday.

Thu Dec 22, 2005 6:56 pm

Wanna make a bet? :cheeky:

Let me explain it in your language: Jamaal Tinsley hasn't even been an all-star yet and he's much better than Danny Granger.

Thu Dec 22, 2005 11:03 pm

I wanted Toronto to pick this guy up really badly.... But I'm not mad, especially since Graham has been playing alright recently.

To answer Laxation's question, I think he can hit the three, but he's not very consistent from that far range and shouldn't be taking that many attempts.

Edit: If Granger keeps this up, I might have to hop on the Pacer bandwagon.

JT is a guard in an Eastern Conference stocked high with guards. Granger's a forward.

Not a bad dunk either

He was phenomenal at NM and there wasn't anything he couldn't do, score, rebound, assists, 3s, steals & blocks.

Years from now i wouldn't be surprised if people say Indiana got the best player out of this draft.

I was only kidding with what I said but you know he won't be an all-star in 2/3 years. He'll be a good player I'm sure, but not even a top 5 forward in the East.
In 2/3 years there's still Lebron, Dwight Howard, Bosh, Prince as far as young guys and maybe even veterans like Jermaine, Pierce and Carter too.

Oh and of course Artest (NY).

Considering I wanted the Raps to draft him, my opinion on his is very high. I love his rebounding and also shot blocking and stealing ability, remind you a little of a Shawn Marionish effect.

He's been doing very well with the increased minutes.

Sun Dec 25, 2005 2:02 am

I just noticed how Jermaine's shooting % is still suprisingly low for a post player. Perhaps he should stop being such a wuss as took the pounding like a man.

Sun Dec 25, 2005 2:08 am

well he sure as hell owned Gooden today. I thinking he dropped him to the floor 2,3 times. Scored 30+pnts.

Sun Dec 25, 2005 2:20 am

(Pshhhh. I trying to piss Indy off. And Cavs won, so it was just an individual battle of two softies and the lesser softie won.)

Sun Dec 25, 2005 2:46 am

Haven't seen him play yet but he's pretty good in Live

I'll get to see the SAS vs IND game though so I'll watch out for him

Sun Dec 25, 2005 2:53 am

Granger does the little stuff. Twice tonight he got offensive rebounds from missed FT's, and he did so outrebounding bigger guys. He rebounds in traffic, creates scoring opportunities and plays D. Good team player and his head is screwed on right.

Deff a v good 17th pick.

You remind me of a friend of mine who knows the NBA rosters just through NBA Live.

And then I picked him up :D

What surprises me is the number of blocks he's able to get. He's pretty versatile in limited minutes, and I'm hoping to see his minutes rise (and help my fantasy team reach unparallelled heights).
