how is it entertainment? (the music they are on about here is the shit they play while the game is in progress)

Keep the "defense" chants with the drums and all but cut the other shit out.

Oh, IN GAME music? Yeah, that's kind of out of place, but between quarters and in timeouts, I think it's a great way to raise the atmosphere.

Good, get rid of hip hop. Maybe it'll prevent the spread of wiggers or something.

Theres hardly any whilst the game is in progress anyway, and if it is, its just a short beat of the song or the instrumental.
Another stupid Stern move that will create more fuss about the racial shit.

what's with the dbl posts?

anyways, i say, it'd be better to have more courtside mics so that we can hear what players and refs are on about (for TV purposes)

I have a feeling Stern is trying to take hip-hop out of the NBA. First the dress code now the music? I mean all they play during games is hip hop music.

When I go to Grizzlies games the music helps add to the entertainment so I don't want it out. :?

If there's some parts of the game that get boring or it's jus a plain blowout, I can still be entertained by the music.

I assume he'll keep the music during the warm-ups and stuff, but not during play.

Last night watching the Nets/Cavs game, I heard bits of Jet's "Are You Gonna Be My Girl?" and Aerosmith's "Rag Doll".

That's hardly hip-hop!

david stern only creates a distraction whenever he opens his mouth...who in the wolrd had ney concerns about the music they played during the course of the game. Sometimes it juss seems like he's trying to make a statement that he's the "BOSS"

They also play Ramones' Blitzkreig Bop and Guns N Roses' Welcome to the Jungle.

But really if he keeps doing this a few years it'll be just a bunch of white guys in short shorts with Beethoven playing in the backround.

Wow, he's changing anything he wants. I guess he's using his powers as NBA Comissioner. Hopefully Andrew won't change things like that in this forum.

Ok maybe not ALL, but most of what they play is hip-hop and its only like 15-30 seconds of a song.

I dont mind the rock songs during games even though I am a rap/hip-hop fan.
