that certain players have ratings that should make them freestyle superstars... but they arent?

mutumbo... if you move any of his ratings up or down a point and then back to normal he becomes an inside stopper.

billups.... do the same, can be a shooter now

has anyone noticed this with any oher players?

exactly, except my friends PS2 version of Live06 lets Camby be a Power and Miller be a playmaker although he should be neway!

that happened to me too on ps2, eddy curry didnt start out a power, he needed 1 more strength(i think it was strength), so i trained him alot and he finally gained the one strength he needed, and he still didnt gain the power move....before my dynasty i even changed his strength to one more on the edit player screen and he did change, i dont no why he didnt change in my dynasty....... i know its not what your talking about kingjames, but i just want to know why the players fss ability isnt changing....

some players have certain abilities set on disabled. for example, when you play the game on default, billups wont have any offensive abilities, but when you go to the screen that allows you to switch up superstar abilities, you will see that all his offensive skills have been disabled. all you have to do is just turn them on. another example of this is andrei kirilenko, when you just play from default, he wont have his scorer skill turned on, you have to do it yourself and then go to that same screen to switch up skills. weird that ea did that though.

you have all missed the point.

i found one more player
gerald green on boston has the stats to be a highflyer, but is not on the FSS list for the boston celtics. when you touch any of his ratings he automatically shows up on the FSS list as a highflyer.

chauncy billups is not listed as having the shooter abilities by default, you have to simply move ANY of his ratings up one then back down and he will have the option to be a shooter added onto the list.

mutumbo, move his shooting and he becomes an inside stopper....

isiah thomas, move his shooting up one point up the back to normal and he becomes a playmaker. look at the default rosters, he isnt listed as a playmaker...

FSS abilities dont change in your dynasty until the following year, after player evolution has happened.
you can train a guy all year and make him have the ratings of a shooter, but the FSS ability wont show up as selectable til the following year

i meant as in like the superstar abilities option thing, i think gerald green was one of the players on boston that already had the highflyer thing by default, just that it was on "disabled" instead of "enabled." its just that ea hasnt turned on some of the abilities for certain players. correct me if this isnt what you mean.

thats not what hes talking about.... i dont no why its like this but just edit players that should have the fss ability(billups, mutumbo etc.)

The reason they didnt have FSS abilities at the beggining is bcause htey werent meant to have them. If EA wanted them to have the FSS abilities, then they would have made them that.
