Yeah the rookies have been weird for years, ever since they added the option. The amount of really slow unathletic SFs that come through is a joke. I usually find that a PG is the safest pick, they usually turn out OK.
The best guy I ever saw drafted was in live 2000. My brother drafted him in our joint dynasty (we simmed the first season and did badly on purpose so we could draft in the lottery). He was called Jonah Scott, and he was a 6'11'' SF who had everything: dribbling, shooting, speed, dunking. He was the highest rated player overall in the league. Then after the first season, his ratings shot down. They kept getting worse. He went from league MVP to a bench player in 3 seasons. My brother got madder and madder. Then his rookie deal ended, and he didn't even get a contract, not from everyone. It was hilarious. To top it all, after 5 seasons I think, he retired. Me and my bro still joke about Jonah Scott. Man, that guy must have been hitting the heroin hard
