Once you hit the ball, what do you do? Do you run to a place like in baseball?

Sort of, you run to the other end of the pitch and swap with the other batsmen (he will run to the end you came from). If you hit it good enough you have time to run up and down 2 or 3 times (2 or 3 runs).
If the ball is hit hard enough and goes over the rope (boundary) it is an automatic 4 runs.
If it goes over the rope on the full, its an automatic 6 runs.

Im not sure exactly how for away the rope is, a guess would be about 100 metres or so. Batsmen hit fours a fair bit. Sixes are more rare unless the batsmen is in an attacking mood

Yes, when Australia play at the MCG sometimes they will have just about maximum capacity

I can't really find anything about the actual distance to the boundary.

As far as cricket attendances go, you can get 30,000+ if its a big enough game.

I never get Cricket. I've seen it a coupla times on ESPN, i guess u have to hit the ball with the flat bat and if it goes over the rope its a home run?
