is there anyone here who could teach me how to edit or make JERSEY NUMBERS?

Here's how I do it....

1. Find a jersey that has numbers you like say yyyyXXXX.viv where yyyy is the 4 letter team code (i.e., hous, sacr, denv), and XXXX is the 4 letter identifier (ie, serd - alternate, home, away, c95a - classic 95-96 away).

2. Open it with bigGUI and export the file yyyyXXXX_num.fsh

3. Break the file apart using fshline from the command-line with the following command:

fshline yyyyXXXX_num.fsh

Note you must be in the directory the fshline program is in (unless you have it installed in your path)

4. Go into the new directory created by step 3 and edit the numbers PNG files to your liking with Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, etc and save the results as PNGs (don't add any other files to the directory and don't mess with the DDS files)

5. go back to the directory you were in for step 3 and type the following command to rebuild the fsh file that holds the numbers...

fshline yyyyXXXX_num\index.fsh

6. Open yyyyXXXX.viv with bigGUI and import yyyyXXXX_num.fsh. After importing it compress it and then click the rebuild index button until the numbers stop changing.

7. Optionally edit the yyyyXXXX.viv file with Jersey Raptor to change the location and/or size of the numbers. To do this copy the yyyyXXXX.viv file into the sgsm subdirectory of the jersey raptor directory, highlight the team, then the jersey you are updating numbers for, then the file yyyyXXXX.fsh and click on numbers. It'll bring up a GUI for changing the number positions and size.

It's a good explanation and when you give it its own topic, more people will get to see it, plus all the additional questions will be spared from my thread.

Does this download automatically add the jersey as an additional alternate, or must we modify some file(s) after downloading it???

baseline bum!...i have a problem when editing the size of the number!...the size is still thesame...and also is there a way to change the font and the position of the name on the back of the jersey?...sorry for posting here again ck listie!...i just could'nt find a thread to post this questions!

Anyway, what do you mean by editing the size? When you have the numbers as .png's you can just make a Photoshop document of the same size (eg. 36x76 pixels), make your own numbers - in the size you want - and save them. Or you can open the existing numbers, resize them with Edit -> Transform -> Scale.

I was working on my classic rosters recently, when I got to Cedric Henderson of the Cavs. I worked up a create-a-player and took it into practice mode to test it. Of course I used the jersey here but there was a little problem with the number on his jersey.



It's just cosmetic but I thought I oughta post it to see if this is a normal problem or if I've got my own little personal glitch. If it's just me, I'm gonna stick my little glitch into a pen and groom it nice and slow until it's big enough to go play with my other glitches (Internet Explorer being the big dog in my yard).

Oh, where was I? Sorry, I ramble a little. Has anyone else seen this problem? It's the same thing with the 45 on the front side as well.

It happened to me when I made the numbers for the Irish jerseys. It's because when you made the numbers, you had pixels touching the edge of the file. Make sure that there is transparent space all around the numbers

those throwback are sick.....nice shit fam...but still one problem...everytime i open DB Commander,i see everything that i add...but when i'm in the jersey section b4 i play the game,i cant see them... ..i reload my roster.....
