Camby on fire

Mon Nov 14, 2005 7:19 pm

The dudes is in the form of his life, a monster performance against the Wolves.

22 rebounds and 7 block shots

His season averages are looking good and so far no worries on the injury front, lets just hope he stays healthy cause I have a feeling he's gonna be the favourite for DPOY at the end of the season. Carmelo, KMart etc have been doing nothing....if only he didnt have so many injuries during his career he could have been something pretty impressive.

Mon Nov 14, 2005 8:21 pm

Holy crap!! Thats huuuuuge!

Mon Nov 14, 2005 8:57 pm

Add in the 18 points, the fact he played KG... very impressive performance.

Mon Nov 14, 2005 10:15 pm

if he can stay away from injuries he will be a monster...

i picked him up in the 7th round of my draft 8-) go camby...

Mon Nov 14, 2005 10:38 pm

He was a beast last night, that's for sure.

Tue Nov 15, 2005 11:26 am

A small flash of why people thought he was better than Duncan during the college years! I hope he keep its up (probably won't happen though).

Tue Nov 15, 2005 11:36 am

Definately, the man has gone crazy so far. His averages are something like 16-17 points, 14 rebounds, about 4 blocks, and shooting almost 60%. Denver really needs to pick it up though, they're wasting Camby's great performance, you know he's going to have to miss some games soon.

Tue Nov 15, 2005 12:04 pm

damn, i watched the game. Any midget that went inside was blocked. He was on fire.

Tue Nov 15, 2005 2:14 pm

No one can do it like the Camby Man can! :headbang:

Mon Nov 21, 2005 2:23 pm

another big game - 21pts, 21 rebounds and 4 blocks in only 28minutes! hes on fire

Mon Nov 21, 2005 2:55 pm

He was a 2nd overall pick. Makes sense that he should be this good. :) Nice to see Camby overcome his injuries and succeed.

Mon Nov 21, 2005 3:52 pm

i can't see Nene getting a game even if he wasn't injured the way Camby's playing (Y)

I love Camby but you better knock on wood with that injury statement. The season has only just begun. He has a lot of time for him to get injuried.

Yup, plus if he has to play with this big of a load he's almost bound to breakdown somewhere during the season. The Nuggets need Martin to at least rebound the ball and find someone to cover up for Nene this season cause Camby's on fire right now but he goes well the Nuggets really stand a little chance of making the playoffs.

Mon Nov 21, 2005 10:29 pm

You are right, if he keeps playing like this and Martin stays hurt then George Karl will be forced to play him big minutes. Camby is likely to get some kind of injury throughout the year, especially if he has to play bigger minutes.

Mon Nov 21, 2005 10:36 pm

I guess he's finally remembered his UMass days (although I preferred John Wallace and the 'Cuse more)....hope he stays healthy *touch wood*

Tue Nov 22, 2005 12:17 am

Maybe Matthew should change his name back to the CambyMan, unless of course, that would jinx his health :)

Wed Nov 23, 2005 4:28 pm

Another big game from Camby tonight with 24 points, 14 rebounds and 6 blocks...I just realised he's averaging 3.36 blocks per game. I hope he doesnt get injured although its bound to happen cause right now he's a top 5 MVP candidate.

Wed Nov 23, 2005 5:12 pm

He's been playing awesome this season and I think he deserves a reserve spot on the All-Star team, but..

..hell no!

Wed Nov 23, 2005 5:24 pm

Not only did he have yet another big night....but he blocked game tying attempt from Arenas.
And yeh, I dont agree with the top 5 MVP candidate thing....but he is having a monster 'Camby' season.

Wed Nov 23, 2005 5:30 pm

he is just putting up all-star numbers now

Wed Nov 23, 2005 7:36 pm

Wow, Camby is really playing great solid ball and plus, the Nuggets are winning too! It's great... maybe Kmart isn't needed anymore! (Y) My vote goes to Camby instead of Yao for starting C... Camby deserves it more. Hope he doesn't go down to injury this season!

Wed Nov 23, 2005 11:03 pm

I really hope that Camby isn't going to be injured. I loved Camby as a Raptor and he is one mean defensive player. He never really lived up to expectations because of injuries, but hopefully his career is getting back on track.

This is also good because I'm starting a Nuggets dynasty. :P

Thu Nov 24, 2005 2:49 am

has he always been this good, just stopped from greatness because of injury?

Thu Nov 24, 2005 5:49 am

Well he was very good until the injuries came. If he'll stay healthy and play liek dat the whole season, we don't even need k-mart.
