They both have a point. Keep in mind I merely skimmed the rest of the thread.

Brown is trying to turn this team into the Pistons it seems. I haven't seen much of them so I can't comment on that too much. The weapons they have are not suitable for that.

Marbury is going against the coach without really letting him see how this works, and not running the play a single time is definitely overkill.

brown wants marbury to be like billups but marbury wants 20+ points a game which is iverson like
he needs to be half way between both of them

That's what I'm hoping for, Matt, because I hate the way this team is built now. - too soft, too many jackers, low basketball IQ(I hate Crawford's game). I'll be ecstatic if LB can rebuild this team like Detroit.

Check out the recent link I posted at the Knicks thread - everything Simmons said is on point.

so Jeff , you wouldn't want to keep any of the players we have now??? Personally , I would keep Channing Frye , David Lee ,Trevor Ariza , Antonio Davis , and Penny Hardaway . Every other player I wouldn't mind leaving .

No, no, I like Ariza and the players Doob mentioned. But like he said, the rest can(and WILL) go once Brown cleans house.

..and if there's a power struggle between Brown and Isiah, who do you think management will side with? I already know the answer to that!

Penny? What the hell? He can't do anything anymore. I bet Isiah is going to trade him for someone with bloated contract durring the ASG break.

His contract runs up this year if I'm not mistaken, so keeping him would benefit their cap.

If he could get rid of Crawford, James, Curry, Marbury, Q and others in this fantasy scenario, why wouldn't he send Penny to Hell where they all belong? Seriosly, did this guy (->Isiah) get anyone who doesn't have mental defects? On the other hand, it looks like he has a good hand at drafting young players. Complete and total mystery, I tell you.

i don't think it would be a good idea to leave the franchise in the hands of the nomadic brown

"rebulding" is not in the vocabulary of nyk fans so the chances of isiah succeeding is unlikely

There's a myth that you can't rebuild in NY because the fans won't tolerate it. Hardcore fans(ones who know the game) will tolerate a rebuilding team IF it's heading in the right direction. The problem with the Knicks is short-sighted ownership that wants playoffs every year(whether they're championship caliber or not). It's all about filling the Garden and making money. It's always been that way here, and it's a big reason why this franchise hasn't won a title in 32 years.

wtf are you talking about ??? If they get the 1st overall pick in 2007 , they are fucked . Chicago has the right to switch picks with the Knicks that year . And Jeff , I've been A knicks fan for 2-3 years now , but I wouldnt mind seeing them rebuild for a few seasons .

jeffx- do you go to games? if you're really dissatisfied, you should stop going and convince whoever you know that has season tickets to do the same/not renew their tickets for next season

I went to a pre-season game, but a friend got tickets from his client. Before that, I haven't been to a game in ten years. I don't have Cablevision either - Dolan's not getting my loot.

On Brown....he's a bit weird, he always chewed Mehmet Okur for playing on the perimeter but never said shit to Rasheed Wallace.
