disappointment in the pc version..

Tue Nov 12, 2002 2:33 pm

i'm a bit surprised that the pc version (full) is exactly the same as the console.. in previous versions, the layout of the game allowed much faster browsing than the console versions. This year, it is exactly the same.

You can't scroll through the teams!! You have to click left or right a dozen times to get to the team you want. The season/franchise layout is also exactly the same as the console. No more are there menus (stats, rosters, etc) for the PC version... it is an exact copy of the console and you must click your way through many screens... and why are the buttons so FREAKIN SMALL!! they could have at least made those bigger.. now we have to concentrate on clicking on the button =p one more thing. I don't think they rank the teams anymore.. according to offense, defense, ballhandling, etc.

So much for the PC version having some bonus that was promised.. well i guess the gameplay should be the only thing that matters, but it kind of frustrates me when i am managing my teams.

more?

Hi there,

So you obviously have the game then. Can you provide screen shots of anything you mention? is there any more info or feedback you have for us??

:D

YO dongmin, nice to hear someone has the game. Just a couple of questions:

Is there an in-game save option?

&

If you use auto-sub will the bench players only get 12mins per game or will it be realistic?

dont think i like the interface much. Oh well. More the game I am interested in!

Are you playing your bulls season on superstar (as this is what ill be doing)?
How many minute quarters etc for realistic stats? or realistic as you can get without tweaks.

Whats in the Gms desk area? player contract info? free agents etc?

thanks!

The extra year that was saved by not working on the PC version was spent on the PS2 version so it could compete with sega's NBA franchise and obviously they just ported most of the PS2 version to the PC.

Hey,

it is very simple. ea is the only producer of bb games for pc. And if no other
game out and fight against ea with a better bb game the the development of
nba live is slow.

Totally agree with all the weak points of the games that mentioned.

I would like to add one more thing, which is very unrealistic, the players will not get tried even you let them play all the 4 quarters with 12mins each!

Disappointed...

yea itw waxck
