Diop's a monster

I love such players...16 rebounds, 6 blocks in 37 minutes. Defense is the key to success.

It's one game, don't bust a nut. Good effort for him though.

yea Diop did a good job. I hope he continues the good effort. On the other hand, what an embarassing game for Dampier, from what i read on RealGm.com. Dampier had 4 fouls, 4 turn overs, no rebounds, no assists, no points...... just over 10min of playing time.

Dampier's a lost cause. I read the same thing.. I remember watching a playoff game with Dallas, and Nowitzki and Stack went bezerk on him for not knowing how to run a play properly.

Last night could've very well been Diop's coming out party. Apparently he may get a shot in the starting lineup. (Y)

Dampier Played OK on a bad GSW team...

But has not lived up to expectations in Dallas (wow! what a huge understatement.)

Hehe, Dampier and Nowitzki was supposed to complement each other's game... Maybe if Cuban shut up a little and actually watched the ball game, instead of screaming at the officials... he could be building a real contender... :D

No, I want Diop to play some minutes per game. I like such players who block and rebound. Chris Andersen is great as well. Ok, some cannot score or just hang around on the court apart from blocking some shots but I just love rebounds and blocks. :)

Charles Oakley (reb) or Manute Bol (blocks) were just great. Tall players who can block and rebound should get more minutes. Even if they cannot score. LOL But what I like best is a tall player blocking the hell out of the opposite team. Defense forever.

Dampier is a nice bench player...that's it. He's far from the self pro-claimed 2nd best C in the league.

I'll say this for Dampier, he's given us a great example of the definitive "contract year performance" player. To be fair, his numbers last year could be defined as "solid" but he's been woeful so far this year.

Hopefully he will get better as the year goes on. I cant write him off just yet cuz it is so early in the season and he has a long time to bring up those averages. At this point, if he has a string of 5 really good games then his season stats would look like he was a force down low or something.

A good way of looking at a player is his playoff performance, and Dampier made Dallas crap.
