Kevin Garnett does more with less than any player in the league today. Bar none.

san antonio is the better team because duncan is the better team superstar. so it really depends on how you judge how a player is better 'individually' than another. for all intents and purposes we can say stephon marbury is a better point guard 'individually' than, say, chauncy billups.... but do you think detroit would've won a championship with steph? maybe, i dont know, but probably not.

although i know many would disagree, this is only my personal opinion, so if you do you do..... i think td would do better than kg in minny. for one, kg seems more like a small forward then a true post player..... in the mold of a grant hill who plays a little closer to the basket.... or even a chris webber. he is great no doubt, in fact probably top 10 all time (dont quote me on this), but history says that true post players are the type to build around. not players who masquerade as post players (see elton brand), but true post players who play deep down with their back to the basket or faced up. that said, garnett is a great true post player, but he does not focus his game on that facet of his talent as much as td does. i dont care if you can do everything.... do what it takes to win.

that said, this is all moot, because this is all hypothetical.....lets stick to reality a little should we? there is no way said scenario would happen, minny needs wally to step up a lot more than he has, i like hudson at the point, and mccants has potential. kandi man seems to be playing a little better given more responsibility, and eddie griffin.... if he can own up to his potential would make up a monster front court with kg. in fact imagine if minny fielded a roster like such:

the shortest guy would be 6'7 this team needs a little time to mold together and create a solid identity or system, hopefully they'll make the playoffs.

Griffin guarding SFs? Wally guarding SGs? We'd get burned on the perimeter so bad Garnett and Kandi would get in foul trouble because of the penetration.

Garnett has probably the best footwork in the league. Him, Duncan and Jermaine O'Neal are mentioned when players talk about who has the best footwork in the league. The reason why Garnett is often considered not to have a strong post game is because his go-to shot is the baseline fade-away. But the truth is, Garnett is in the post most of the game. In fact, Garnett usually runs the offense from the post.

well, kg can guard the sfs/sgs and eddie can guard the 4, jaric can guard the next best perimiter player, and most teams dont have 3 good perimiter options, so you can put wally on the schmuck. it probably wouldnt work, but it'd be a nice experiment. realistically, they'd probably field:

sczerbiak
hassell
hudson/jaric

which isnt bad, all things considered. it'd be nice if they had a real point again, then again, a lot of teams can say that.

garnett seems to play more high post, i think he is more comfortable making the drive, faking, shaking, and fading away or mini hooking. with cassell gone, minny needs another player who can make their own shot so kg can have energy to finish, or better yet, a permiter play who can finish...... imagine if they hadnt traded allen for steph, allen and kg would be beautiful together. so would steph and kg. oh well, hindsights a bitch.

It's working out perfectly. Hassell guards the best perimeter player, Jaric guards the 2nd best and Wally guards the schmuck (as you call it). The only problem with that is when they played Seattle Jaric had to guard Ridnour which left Hassell and Wally to guard Allen and Lewis. Casey decided to put Wally on Reggie Evans and put Garnett on Lewis so Lewis wouldn't go off. And at times they had Garnett on Allen and Evans/Collison.

Garnett plays in the high post and the low post. He's developing a go-to hook shot in the paint which is scary.
