I watched the game on the free NBA League Pass thing. Omg, I don't think the Raptors will win a game the way they are playing.

i guess ESPN weren't smoking crack when they placed the raptors last in their power rankings. they need a roster overhaul, maybe babcock can work some magic by punking isiah.

babcock: i want to propose a trade
isiah: lets hear it
babcock: jalen rose, loren woods and two second round draft picks for eddy curry, jamal crawford and two first round draft picks
isiah: uhhhhhhhhhhh...
isiah: alright, lets do it.

im praying.. one of these days..

I'm starting to become growingly pessimestic about Bosh as our franchise player. If he can't step it up against guys like Big Ben........ He's not going to get that max contract.

Maybe I'm just frustrated after 3 consecutive losses.

Fed Up MoPete Airs Beefs After `Embarrassing' Loss

6th November, 2005 - 4:57 am
Toronto Star - There is no time for being kind and sugar-coating the harsh realities that surround the Raptors these days, no time to think about the long-term goals of a rebuilding franchise or worry about bruised feelings because the present is just so horrible.

Morris Peterson, as fed up with what he's seen in three games as he's been in five seasons with the team, thinks it's time for strong words, words that may sting but words that are necessary.

"We have to learn to get on each other," Peterson said last night after the Raptors were humiliated 117-84 by the Detroit Pistons . "I can honestly say that was embarrassing."

"You can either be nice and let it keep happening, or you can get on a person," he said after Toronto absorbed its worst beating since a 36-point loss to the then-Charlotte Hornets in 2000. "If I'm doing something wrong out there, I'd expect someone to tell me. That's what we need to expect out of each other."

"If we're going to get beat, we're going to get beat playing hard, giving our best effort."

It was a beating from start to finish and if it damaged any psyches, Raptors coach Sam Mitchell doesn't want to hear about it.

"No one's going to feel sorry for us, those guys have to fight through it," he said. "They have to remember these beatings, it has to be in you to want to give it back. No one's going to feel sorry for you."

"This is a no-mercy league."

Well, he's right. The Raptors either need to step up or go somewhere else. I'll bet a D-league team could beat them right now.

Yes man Raptors better step it up. Mo Pete is playing his ass off all day, all night. He is comin off the bench with spirit and all but the raps cant help. Major changes must be done if they can't do better.

Bosh really need to step up now. He's been struggling, but most importantly he needs to show some leadership. This team is without a leader, though Rose might qualify for one, he's not great. The raps have many rookies, so we can't expect them to take the role, and the raps have many new faces. The raps have too many useless big men(ie Loren Woods). The raps need to trade away a couple players for one decent player. I still have some hope for Arujo, but not Woods or Eric Williams. They have proven themselves that they are useless. I'm not gonna say anything about Aaron Williams because i feel bad about what happened last night. He was given a chance to play and could've done a decent job, and he messed up his fingers....he's still better than Woods who's been given many chances, even a starting spot, and he did jack shit.

After watching all 3 Raptor games, i have to say the Raptors will finish last in the conference with a 10-72 record. Honestly, i thought the Raps would surprise everyone with their new rookies but that is not happening. Everyone is trying to do a little to much. The rookies are certainly doing a great job, and i think all three of them will make the Rookie Team.

Arujo just sucks, even though you can see him trying really hard on defense and offence. He tries to do a little too much to prove that he does not suck, he shot a friggin three-pointer!! Loren Woods was active in the first game but you can see him slacking off. All of the Williams suck; Aaron cant do shit, Eric is just a loser, Alvin is not good as before. Raptors better start playing good basketball, they have a pretty good roster but they are doing too much. Bosh should not do handle the ball a lot, Arujo should not shoot 3's or Mid range, Bonner should not take 3's every time, Rose should not hog the ball and take quick shots. I can keep going on and on.

Its Rose, Id trade any player for him, to clear up cap space and to get a fresh new start without a bad/horrible player.

Yeah, but it's not that easy. We're pretty much stuck with Rose until his contract runs out, although if Babcock somehow ships him out he'll go from zero to hero.

We lost terribly yet again. Bosh carried us in the late third quarter and early fourth quarter and he had a pretty good game with some pretty nasty dunks, but the effort was in vain.

Raptors stink for two reasons:
1. Canadian - Just doesn't work to put a team in Canada. I love Canada, but they are different... different money different schools, different sets of measures, different culture, different attitude (one I prefer I might add, never met a mean Canadian).

2. They took Barney of the jersey. Best logo and Jersey in League and they take it off the jersey. I was in Toronto right after the announcement of the team and I saw their logo on a T-shirt I bought it for like two american dollars, becaus ethe exchange is great for us Americans.

Who the fuck cares, Canada is a good place and all of the guys love it there. It's like saying don't put a US team in hockey.

Logos don't mean jack dawg. It's a logo.

Ye it was a "good" effort. Bosh did well ad try to get the team back. It wasn't a bad loss like the other ones though. Next up for us is the Jazz. There a good team now so it will be a good game.

Did much better than most thought they would.

Sadly, if Donyell was still on the other side of the border Toronto probably would have walked away from that as winners.

He was the only one out on the floor able to hit 3 pointers, and he he almost led all players in rebounding, he was 1 short of Bosh's 12 boards in half the time and throw in 2 steals. When your bench guy gives you starter-like #s in only 20 minutes, that's a huge advantage.

Another thing i never noticed, Cleveland is a very good FT shooting team. Fouling them in the paint is suicide. Both Z & Gooden shoot at 80%, and LeBron at 75%.

Ok.... first of all, if it wasnt for a Canadian person, there wouldn't be a sport called basketball. And it's right to have ATLEAST 1 canadian basketball team, I mean c'mon a Canadian created the sport.

And yeah, I really liked the old jerseys, I like the current ones too (excluding the alternate), but yeah, the original ones are the best (my opinion).

AND the denver "NUGGETS" is any better? it's a piece of rock!!no offense to denver fans, but Pirate is just a moron who can't make an argument.

1. Players are paied in american dollars....
2. The players don't go to schools
3. Alot of the people working for the Raps are americans.
4. We have a different attitude? i'm sorry if we are more peaceful and prefer not to attack another country for no fucking reason, but the raptors have a lot of dedicated fans just as dedicated as any american teams.

Now moron, just shut the fuck up and learn to argue, not to post any bull shit that make no fucking since and has nothing to do with why the raps are not doing well.

Also thoughs arent 2 good reasons in your opinon as to why the raptors "stink" i mean if you said something about how are players are ...well then ok thats kinda exceptiable but something like cuz there t-shirts are bad and you dont like Canadians.... that has not much to do with the raptors club. So i think you should quit while your ahead

I hope you're kidding. Toronto's one of the bigger market cities which rivals a lot of US cities. It succeeded as a basketball franchise in Toronto, and it has nothing to do with a different cutlure or attitude or schools, although Antonio Davis might beg to differ.

Well, you just met a couple mean Canadians in this thread ;)
