haha following the trend and a thread for every big player :p
but he deserves it, that game winner.
Damn. I almost lost money. I was close to betting he would miss again..
Thu Nov 03, 2005 4:51 pm
Dammit, he fucked up one of my predictions with that shot
Thu Nov 03, 2005 5:09 pm
This is starting to get regular. But what else would you expect from the most clutch player the past few years. Good win on the road to start the season

Plus a facial on Andre Miller.

I watched the game and my heart was pounding so hard...
Stupid Melo fouled out, so did Camby who did an amazing job defensively
I think the Lakers' defense sucks, their big men really needs much work.
Denver was able to make many alley oops... Sigh
Anyway, I'm back as a KOBE FAN!!! He just loves the pressure, and nice win for Phil.

Kobe has been the most consistant clutch player since Michael Jordan. Kudos have to be given to him, especially when you considered the missed shots in the playoffs against Utah when he was a rookie.
Thu Nov 03, 2005 7:29 pm
kobe is the real mvp.
Thu Nov 03, 2005 8:00 pm
The Lakers need more out of Lamar Odom. The entire preseason he has been shooting the ball awfull and last night he didnt do it to well either. Smush played very well last night and with Kobe he did most of the scoring, I dont expect alot of these nights so players like Odom and perhaps Kwame Brown got to step up. Oh yeah, behind Devean George the bench is pretty worthless.
By the way, did you see how Kobe was looking at the crowd after he made the shot?

Yet history disagrees...go figure.

Seb, I think the lakers have to consider allowing Odom to be a point forward like he was in Miami or trade him. His role isnt working alongside kobe right now. Kwame and Mihm will improve as the season goes on. I dont expect much out of Bynum this season.

Marv Albert on TNT uses that often, so I suggest you not listen there or else those thoughts will reoccur everytime. Time to get the head out of the gutter.

I was curious on this debut so I decided to tune in I must admit that was a noice posterization on Miller and he stared at him too. I thought the Lakers were going to lose. I was wondering what the fuck was Kobe doing taking a three when they needed a two to win. Literally, I was what the fuck are you doing? Redeemed himself in overtime.
I think the Lakers' defense sucks, their big men really needs much work.
I thought their defense sucked too because of those backdoor lobs and easy plays. The boxscore said they shot 43% from the field. Mainl because they did a good job on Carmello. I agree their big men suck.
Phoenix got a day of rest, so that might help in their game tomorrow. Should be interesting.

what a crazy night it has been tonight...Kobe pulls through once again.
Kobe practically doing it all again....Mihms rebounds numbers were appalling.

Agree

He's just not being effective, I don't think it'd hurt the team to play him in that position since there's really nothing to lose with Odom, he can't get any worse.

has kobe ever been mvp?
Thu Nov 03, 2005 10:18 pm
He was the MVP of the 2002 All-Star Game. He hasn't garnered a regular season or NBA Finals MVP yet.

I wonder where all of the Kobe-haters are right now, I'm suprised that no one has bitched about him or cracked any rapist jokes by now.
Anyway, hopefully this will be the season that Kobe shuts everyone up. I'm not the biggest Bryant fan, but I definitely think he's the most talented or one of the most talented shooting guards in the league. Period.
Fri Nov 04, 2005 2:05 am
rapist joke is old now..
kobe haters aren't really on the hating a lot yet since phil jackson is respected. Its just a watch and see kinda thing now. No Shaq, just the Kobe show with Jordan's former coach. Can he pull it off? Just got to wait and see the greatness of kobe now... if he is that great.
Fri Nov 04, 2005 2:11 am
KOBE jump very high.
Fri Nov 04, 2005 6:18 am
ever wonder how many game-winners phil jackson has seen in his career? i was just thinking about that.
Fri Nov 04, 2005 6:58 am
Yeah there is alot of them and he doesnt look to excited with them. When Kobe went up for the game tying shot against the Pistons during game 2 of the 2004 Finals, he just looked at Frank Hamblem and said "It goes in" in a very relaxed tone.
Fri Nov 04, 2005 8:26 am
well kobe better be on his game against the suns today. hope smush parker goes well.
