Nuggos loose another on TNT opening night

Postby steelyplu on Thu Nov 03, 2005 1:52 am

Last year Voshon Leonard undid his achillies (on TNT) and was out for the season.
Last night Nene undid his Knee CL's (on TNT) -- let's hope he can return. Is TNT a jinx? Reggie Miller too biased toward the Pacers? I think I like Magic better.

Funny thing is that Nene just took out an insurance policy against injury, and BAM opening night.

anthony was quite impressive last nite. too bad they couldn't organize more plays for him down the stretch- bowen's defense wasn't much of a factor on him

thats quite funny because before the season began fantasy experts were saying that if you got Camby (who has a history of injuries) you have to get Nene because if Camby got hurt and Nene was in the starting lineup then he would put up excellent numbers.

sux.. but good for the lakers game tonight. including that supposed injury to kmart (not serious, but pulled out of 4th last night) will hinder his performance.

lakers W tonight maybe? lakers always seem to let others down though

Well Camby did pretty damn good this game, but Kobe is something else... he stripped Kobe but then got swatted by him at the other end..

Nene is out for the season. :(

Good thing for the Bulls who kept pursuing him before the season. :P

If he was in Chicago he wouldnt have been in the same situation, therfore he wouldnt have suffered the same injury.

The Nuggets will survive without Nene. They still have the most athletic frontline in the league with Camby, Martin and Melo. They'll be fine, maybe get to the second round.

Someone will get him for small bucks next season. I mean, someone with his potential for only MLE?

I doubt it. Remember Kenyon got close to (or the actual) max when he was a free agent. I'll be suprised if Nene goes for only that.

i'm guessing teams will be tentative given his injury so it's really a mystery how much he'll be offered.

Melo looks like a much better scorer this season so far in the two games I've seen of him.

it's a shame, many people were saying how this season was going to be Nene's breakout season. I wish him the best and let's all hope he won't get fat like Lenard did.

I generally don't like the nuggets, because i don't like each and everyone of their 5 starters...

C- Camby - Oft injured/Not much of a factor on offense
PF- Martin - Undersized, Hot head, Bad handle even for a PF
(was better in NJ, coz he could play off kidd, and kidd could do the same, they made a great playoff run there)
SF- Melo - Ball hog, can't create for others, lazy on D
(was better in syracuse, coz he was a legitimate star there. not some wannabe)
SG- Lenard - Not very mobile, can't do anything else well except shoot
(was better in GS, at least he played at the same pace as everyone else, i think it's hard to win in the playoffs when ur sg can't play decent perimeter D)
PG- Miller - Can't connect from long range
(was better in cleveland, coz he amounted to something dishing out 9 dimes a night, I can't imagine a contender without outside coverage, esp if ur center is camby)
